I don't believe people can have super powers, but Marvel needs to hire Nicole Cook to be an avenger. I've been coming to see her for highlights for nearly 5 years, and she has always delivered! She values the health of my hair and is honest with me while consistently slaying my highlights. I look forward to my appointments with her weeks and weeks in advance. It's like Christmas and Nicole Cook is delivering the present of a perfect highlight, trim, and blowout! I usually tell her to do what she thinks because she knows my hair so well, and my hair journey has changed a lot thanks to her. If it weren't for Nicole, I'd probably still have silver and (very) damaged hair. Definitely come see her if you need a hair stylist in Wilmington, I've been recommending people to her for years and I won't be stopping anytime soon because she is just. that. good.

The Owner Frank greeted Me walking in and was delightful and welcoming! Lovely Employees! Stylist. Cheyne looked at a photo and created the best Hair Style/Sculpting I have had on My thick Hair. Just went to get my hair done $300 and ended with damaged hair. Story Time: I usually do my own hair, but this time, I decided to go get it done because back in February/March, I came to get my roots done. At that time, I lightened my hair on the top by myself to put in plum purple ombre and brown on my roots because the black i had was turning green. I lightened my hair,and it was a copper/orange color. I colored it the plum purple and brown on my roots. The brown did not process on my roots. So I decided to go and have somebody fix it for me at the salon at Bangz. The lady did a great job, and that's the reason why I came back recently cause she did a great job. So this time, I wanted to lighten up my hair with an ombre and a money piece. Try to get out the plum purple burgundy color I had, nd a hhaircut I came to the same lady. And she did do a test strand 2 weeks before. I told her at the test strand app. how my hair was done. That the back of my hair is lightened more than the top of my hair, and above my ear , had it lightened just like the back, so it was like a level 2 3.. I show here pictures of what i wanted. I reminded her of my hair history . 'm not embarrassed to tell them what I've done to my hair just cause. I don't want them to over process or damage my hair. And salons like this, usually have a file of your hair when u first come in, and I didn't have one she never pulled out my file. And here comes the big day. She trims off a little bit of the bottom of my hair because I'm gonna get a haircut at the end. And she starts the process. I ask her, what are you doing? And she tells me that shes gonna do a balayage. And I said, cool, that's fine, I guess that's the way it has to be. Cause she's the professional. I didnt question it. Don't get me wrong, this lady, she's really nice. But I don't want to tell her how to do her job. I was there from 9 in the morning to like 3:30pm. I'm not sure why she put me under the heat. Even though I told her that my hair was already lightened.. i go home. I look at my hair and it feels matted. So the next day I take a shower to wash out the hairspray she put in. Cause I'm assuming that it was the hairspray. No it was my hair completely damaged, but not bad, but damaged. I called her to let her know that I wanted the money piece. If she could do it. I thought she was going to lighten up the roots or tell me, no cause my hair is too process.. So she sets me up for Tuesday. I go in. I'm thinking that she will tell me no. Because my hair is damaged to give it some time before we do it But instead, she said she'll do it. I'm assuming that she's just gonna do the roots for the money piece. What she does is the roots AND to my ends. She does the money piece. And she says not to waste product, she was gonna add a little bit more highlights. I didn't want my roots done. She lightens my roots and to the end of my hair. I wanted them my natural color. So then she puts me under heat again, and I was praying that this wouldn't burn my hair off, but it did. She blow-dried my hair. And while she was blow drying my hair, I could see my hair flying off all over onto the cape. But in my head, I thought it was just the ends of my hair flying off cause they got burned. But it wasn't. When I got home, I saw the hair above my ears burnt and falling off. The next day I take a shower and I brush my hair out and then that's when I started realizing a lot of hair is coming out. There is some chunks of my hair that are falling off in the middle. All my ends more half way of my hair is burnt. It's So sad cause now they can't fix it. All I really can do is just wear a wig. I don't even have my curls. There's no way of styling my hair to make it look decent. I'm so disappointed. It's just unbelievable how you go to a salon and get your hair done professionally. Instead, it looks like an amateur with no license did my hair. They wanted me to come back in today. I said no, cause there was no possible way of fixing this right now. I told her I'll be back at the end of the month. I'm just 😔SAD.
