City Spa & Health Center
📍 Gay-friendly spas in Los Angeles
Accessibility offers a well-maintained, old-school spa experience blending traditional Russian banya and sauna culture with a welcoming atmosphere. Open with a mix of co-ed and men-only sessions, it provides a serene escape for relaxation through steam baths and jacuzzis, though entry fees may feel steep for non-service visits. The friendly staff, particularly the front desk team, enhances the experience with attentive service.
While the facility leans toward a classic, slightly dated aesthetic, its consistent quality and focus on tranquility make it a solid choice. Reservations are required for massages, and the optional restaurant adds a refined touch. Ideal for unwinding, it caters to those seeking an authentic, no-frills spa retreat.

Came on a Saturday (co-ed). Men only Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday; co-ed Monday/Wednesday/Saturday. Bring swimwear and flip flops. The place is very clean, if a bit dated. The only service they offer now is the massage, which is by reservation only. (No more body wash treatments or platzas, but seemed you can buy a venik at the front.) The entry fee can feel a bit expensive if all you’re doing is chilling in the jacuzzi and the saunas, especially compared to the many Korean spas around town. Hope to try the restaurant next time. The front desk gentleman was a real nice guy.
Great place. Especially Mr.Nayton - front desk manager 💪👍🤝 MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL SPA EMPLOYEES, WITH GRATITUDE FOR PROVIDING US WITH RELAXING STEAM BATHS... and we hope for lower prices 😉
They didn't let me in because I'm a woman, what kind of stupid rules are these? We work too, I wanted to relax on my only day off, they made my day the worst! There are 7 days a week, of which only 2 days are women allowed in 🤦🏼♀️ what kind of discrimination is this, we're not people? Where to get the weekend?
Great spa location. Worth every dollar you spend there! Try the meal and you will be amazed! Highly recommend for the relaxing!
Solid, old-school banya/schvitz. Was finally able to check it out earlier this year and just went for a co-ed session with my wife and our friends this past weekend. Once you get used to the way they run things, the place never disappoints. Sat down and had their kitchen menu as well. The kabobs and pierogis were very good, and the borscht never disappoints. Be sure to check the website to understand the hours, and make sure you leave a voice message on their phone when asking about a massage appointment (they run around away from the desk to take care of the place, but always return your call).
Hot Sauna, Hot Steam Room, Hot Beef Borscht. What else can you want? It's like an old "mansion spa" in the middle of the city. In the evening, from the City to the Valley, I hang out there for a few hours to avoid the insane freeway traffic or until the traffic dies down, then I go home looking good, feeling good, smelling good...very clean! If you come in early, there is a very nice sun deck on the roof patio to get a great tan!
City spa is the best banya outside of Russia, the rooms are hotter than the sun and the cold plunge feels like the arctic. Restaurant is delicious and has all the Russian staples. Been coming here for 15 years and I love it.
