This spa offers a unique, relaxing, and culturally rich experience. It’s an excellent option for athletes looking to recover or for anyone who’s had a stressful week at work. While I’ve only visited one other Korean spa, this one is definitely smaller and could benefit from some updates to the building. That said, the facility was very clean, and the food was absolutely delicious—highly recommend menu items #6 and #12. You can easily spend hours here unwinding, whether you’re meditating, doing light mobility work in the sauna, or simply enjoying a good book. One cultural difference to note is that in the wet areas, no clothing is allowed, but everyone is very respectful, and it adds to the authenticity of the experience. The wet area includes a steam room, cold plunge, and hot tub, but be aware that you must shower before entering they are very strict about maintaining cleanliness. Overall, it was a wonderfully relaxing visit, and I’ll definitely be returning—especially for the food!
If you have never been, you need to try this spot! I highly recommend getting a scrub. It’s basically is a deep full body clean, facial and massage all in one. My technician’s skill was nothing short of amazing. I came out feeling like a totally new person—glowing and so relaxed. After the scrub I spent time in the sauna, then did a cold plunge, and finished with some nourishing food. Going here was like a quick trip to another world and nothing short of amazing! The staff is super helpful if you need anything.
Great price for day use - $35/ adult for use of wet areas and saunas. Massage and scrub services available at extra costs. Cook to order Korean menu available. You can bring your own food, but have to leave it at the front desk - no glass or alcohol.
I love spas and this was my first Korean spa experience. John was great about explaining how the experience would go and what amenities were available during my time there. No clothing may be worn in the Ladies wet area where the showers, hot tub, cold plunge, steam room and open treatment rooms are. Everyone else is nude and vibing so it’s not a big deal at all. Bring your own soap for the shower if you don’t want to use the community bar provided. My technician really worked hard with it being my first scrub. I selected the Gold service but with it being my first time, we ended up doing the 90 minute service. I can’t believe how much debris came off and how smooth my skin is now! I loved the moisturizing massage, face treatment and scalp scrub/hair wash. After the recommended steam and cold plunge, I put on the uniform and went to the common area for a delicious, fresh, made-to-order dinner and wine. I decided to duck in for one more steam and plunge before wrapping up my experience. The staff were all very friendly, professional and eager to make you feel welcome and at ease. It’s not a bougie place but you’re there to scrub off skin, so fancy isn’t necessary. This will be a must-do each time I come to Tampa since I don’t have a Korean Spa close to home!
First of all, if you haven't had the chance to visit this place, I HIGHLY recommend it! Breakdown: You will have to leave your shoes, clothes, and most personal items in lockers that are provided. ABSOLUTELY NO PHONES, and you must be 100% nude in the wet area. They require that you wear the facility approved spa uniform, which is also provided. The cost to enter the facility and use its amenities ( clay sauna, salt sauna, common area, steam room, cold dip pool, hot tub soaking pool, showers, and restaurant) costs $33. It costs extra to have some of the wet area services ( body wash/scrub). Restaurant: The restaurant is in the common area and is an absolute gem. The food was tasty and made to order. They have a really good selection of choices to choose from ranging from simple appetizers to full meals. Service: I'd like to acknowledge the wonderful lady who performed my body wash/scrub. Kate was amazing and made me feel like a whole new woman. Thank you! 🙏🏽 Overall, you can easily spend several hours here really taking in all that it has to offer. My bestie and I definitely did, and it was amazing. I will for sure be adding this place to my once every other month routine. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
I came here for my birthday and decided to get the gold package body scrub. It does require you to be fully nude but I absolutely enjoyed it, and it was much needed lol. It was a great experience and i would definitely go back. Food was also amazing too!
Shangri-La is absolutely wonderful for what it is and I will definitely be returning! The wet area is very small with limited spaces available in the hot tub and steam room, but both are immaculately clean and so HOT...pretty close to authentic jimijibang hot. Many other Korean spas in the eastern U.S. do not set there tubs extremely hot, but Shangri-La doesn't disappoint in that regard. The amenities are somewhat limited, but that doesn't affect relaxation and revitalizing benefits. The prices are very reasonable and slightly less than those charged elsewhere, which is fair. Staff are pleasant and certainly on top of cleaning and maintenance. A truly awesome experience all around...I certainly recommend!
