Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bakersfield Central by IHG

Pros: kind staff, breakfast in the morning, free parking, nice location off the freeway. We went on a weekend and were pleasantly surprised that the hotel wasn't too busy. This made parking, breakfast, and elevator access easy. They also cleaned our room daily, which was nice.|Cons: one of the two elevators is broken, construction in lobby, walls are super thin. At night I could hear the stomping of feet above throughout the night. The walls are thin and I could hear the passing trains in the night. There was a noise in the room that was loud. I think the refrigerator was broken. Sleep quality is the only area where I wasn't satisfied.

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and was very satisfied with our stay. From the momment we checked in and was greeted by "Robin" (she was awesome) to the momment we left, it was a great stay. The room was very clean and well set up with all the necessary ameneties. The service we got from staff members was what I expected from an"IHG" hotel, and being a coffee addict the coffee was great. The bed though for me was pretty hard as I like soft beds but it WILL NOT deter me from staying here again because I really enjoyed this hotel. Well done and see you next time.

Positive: The rooms were large and wonderful with high ceilings and plenty of space. Negative: The hot tub was not available during our stay.

Pretty nice place. Room was big, clean and the A/C was great. They have one of the better"Breakfast is incuded" deals in town. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is easy on/off highway 99. Close to so many restaurants. Very clean, quiet and spacious. Complimentary breakfast area very clean. Small fitness area. Nice lobby area with a nice sitting area.

I've paid more money to sleep in worse rooms for sure. Spacious, clean, the restroom has a little green light so you don't have to turn the overhead on on the dark. The lobby gives futuristic late 90's/early 00's vibes. If I were road tripping through again I'd stay on purpose

The water pressure was bad. The guy that helped me 1st to check in was very helpful but after that customer service was bad. Could not provide a late check out keep saying to check back in an hour or a certain time. Even at check out trying to turn in the key everyone at the front desk was just looking and nobody even reached for the key. Paid over $300 for one night and drove from out of town to get bad customer service
