An amazing spot for Korean spa culture right in Honolulu! The atmosphere and staff were warm and inviting, and very helpful in guiding me through my first experience at a jjimjilbang. In addition to an assortment of traditional scrub services, there is also a variety of saunas (both wet and dry) and baths that guests have access to both before and after the scrub. Cleanliness is taken very seriously here, as guests are required to tie up loose hair and shower before using the amenities. They did an amazing job of scrubbing and exfoliating all my dead skin and left me feeling brand new!! My skin has never been so soft before — even days later I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area! It’s highly recommended as a thoughtful gift or for self-care

One of the best spa experiences I’ve had! I did a body scrub and my skin has never felt more smooth. The facilities were so clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely be back!

My three friends and I visited recently for a birthday and got the body scrub, massage, & spa access. The whole experience was wonderful, and the owner was so accommodating to see us during a bad storm! We all were new to the experience, and the ladies there made us feel comfortable and informed. We enjoyed some good smoothies and food from their kitchen afterward and all left feeling amazing. These women work so hard to provide a great experience - highly recommend!

This experience was absolutely next-level. I started with the soak and dry sauna, which immediately grounded my body and softened everything for what came next. From there, I had the full Korean scrub, massage, foot massage, facial, and shampoo with scalp scrub—and wow. Tina was my masseuse, and she was incredible. Skilled, attentive, and deeply intuitive. The scrub left my skin unbelievably soft and renewed, and the massage felt both therapeutic and nurturing. I walked out feeling lighter, energized, and completely reset—inside and out. My skin still feels amazing, my body feels open and alive, and energetically it felt like the perfect way to complete the shedding of the Snake year and step cleanly into the Year of the Horse. If you’re looking for true restoration and renewal, I highly recommend Loess—and ask for Tina by name.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Loess Spa. This was my first experience with a Korean spa and body scrub. I booked the #3. Mina applied the perfect pressure for both the scrub and massage. She also checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable. The spa is clean and has great amenities. They even have amazing food and the front desk offered me some kimchi that was sooo good! I’ll definitely be back!

Such a cute Korean bathhouse in Kalihi! My first time visiting was great. Prices are transparent and listed on the board. Wet services like scrub packages will get you a facility pass ($50) where dry services like cupping will not get you access to facilities and you’ll need to pay separate. There’s a hot tub, cold tub, showers, bathroom, scrub tables, facial room, yoni room, cupping room, red clay room, charcoal room, etc. Everyone who works there is Korean, and they have Korean food and snacks at the front. I got the scrub package with the aroma oil massage and there’s some sequence to it where once you get the massage, you can no longer go into the hot and cold tubs. The scrub itself honestly kind of hurt.. but I also have quite sensitive skin. Afterwards though, I’ve never felt such soft skin or cleaner. They had bathed me at least twice and shampooed/conditioned my hair. It’s a nice thing to do with some close girl friends regularly and/or before an event where you want to feel extra put together.

Today I visited this wonderful place and overall had a very positive experience. I truly enjoyed how thoroughly I was washed and how relaxing the massage was. Everything was clean, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I left feeling refreshed and grateful, especially to the woman who took care of me — she did an amazing job, and I sincerely thank her. That said, I would like to mention a few small nuances. I am sharing this not out of criticism, but because I genuinely want this place to thrive and hope my notes might be helpful. First, during the body scrub, I was not sure whether the glove used was disposable. It was not shown to me that it was new or single-use. I believe that for hygiene and customer comfort, such items should always be clearly disposable. Second, after the massage I sat on the hot stone table, which was my mistake. I immediately apologized, as I genuinely did not know it was not allowed. However, one of the staff members spoke to me quite harshly, which felt uncomfortable. I later also apologized to the administrator, but again received a rather rude remark. I understand rules are important, but the tone of communication matters a lot for guests. Lastly, when I was leaving, I went to return the key at the front desk, but no one was there. I waited, then asked a man nearby what to do, and he told me to leave the key, which I did. When I was already sitting in my car in the parking lot, the administrator came outside and knocked on my car quite strongly, clearly showing dissatisfaction. Thankfully, I had not driven away yet, but this interaction felt unpleasant. Despite these moments, I still consider this a good place and would recommend it. My overall experience was positive, and I truly appreciated the service itself. I hope this feedback will be taken in a constructive way, as small details like communication and clarity can strongly affect how a guest feels.
