Massage Grotto SF - Duboce Triangle

I’ve been seeing Kieran for the past six months, and I can honestly say he has changed my life. I first went to him because I of severe lower back pain and doctors were recommending cortisone shots if the pain did not subside after physical therapy. I decided to get a massage and found Kieran at Massage Grotto. During that first session, he immediately noticed how unbalanced my body was and used a Rolfing technique to release the fascia. I walked out pain-free. Since then, Kieran has continued to help me heal and stay aligned. He’s incredibly knowledgeable about the body, attentive, and genuinely cares about his clients’ well-being. Every session feels thoughtful and restorative. Kieran is not just skilled: he’s a truly gifted human being who brings compassion and deep understanding to his work. If you’re struggling with chronic pain or simply want to feel better in your body, I can’t recommend Kieran highly enough.

Kieran does amazing work, I will 100% be coming back for more. I shared that I have a spine injury and he knew exactly how to address it right off the bat. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Kieran has treated the root of my problems, not just my symptoms, and made significant progress in my flexibility, range of motion and pain relief that I never considered possible. Just had the best session ever with Kieran today, feeling all the tensions gone in my neck and shoulder, legs and feet. Really happy I finally found the massage therapist who specializes in areas where I have issues (cranium and legs), and fixes the causes of tightness instead of the symptoms. Highly recommend Kieran to those who needs relief from neck / shoulder / legs tightness or soreness

I've been going to Kieran for over 2 years because he's the only person who has been able to target my chronic pain and help alleviate it. As other reviewers have said, he's extremely knowledgeable of the body's fascia and able to connect a whole lifetime of injuries (and compensations for said injuries) to systematically work them out. Keep in mind this is body WORK and not massage: it's pain now for relief later.

Kieran was my masseur. I felt he was adept at kneading deep into the tissue around the bone. Ambiance is very zen, relaxed, and casual.

Kieran is an amazing healer! I’ve been going to Him for my shoulder pain and it’s really made a difference. He’s a great listener and very intuitive body worker. In highly recommend!
