Unwind Wellness – Adams Morgan

I’ve been to Unwind Wellness several times now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite places for bodywork in DC. If you’re looking for massage therapists who actually do real work, this is the place. I’ve seen both Helen and Heajin, and they are exceptional in different but complementary ways. Helen is incredible for deep tissue, especially hip work. She goes deep, she’s effective, and she is not afraid to work through tension. This is not a light, spa-style massage. It’s therapeutic, intentional, and results-driven. Exactly what I want. Heajin specializes in Thai and lymphatic massage, and she is phenomenal. Thai massage is more like assisted stretching, and she incorporates it beautifully. She also took time to explain lymphatic flow, gave me tips on how to support it at home, and clearly cares about long-term wellbeing, not just the session itself. One thing to note: at Unwind, therapists may get on the table with you, especially for Thai or deep tissue work. That’s part of the technique and something to be aware of if you’re new to that style, but for me it speaks to how seriously they take proper body mechanics and effectiveness. The space is calm, professional, and welcoming, and the level of skill here is outstanding. If you want thoughtful, strong, therapeutic massage from practitioners who really know the body, I highly recommend Unwind.

Heajin was AMAZING!!! so incredibly talented, kind, respectful, and overall made the experience one of the best massages I’ve ever had! I cannot wait to come back! Thank you Heajin - cannot recommend the combo lymphatic massage with her enough! Worth every penny.

I had a great first time getting a massage with Ramon. Everything was clean, relaxing, and my body feels so much better after the signature massage. I live an athletic lifestyle where I run a lot and lift weights, so this is long overdue. This will help me continue to do the things I love.

I had an incredible deep tissue massage with Daniel. He somehow found every sore spot on my body and used exactly the right amount of pressure the entire time. His consistency and attention to detail made such a difference—he really worked out all the knots. Daniel was professional, skilled, and truly amazing at what he does. I only wish the session had lasted longer! I’ll definitely be booking again.

He was attentive , sweet , caring, and made our experience one to remember. If anything goes wrong they are sure to make it right. The massages were incredible. The facial was amazing. If I could give 10 stars then I would. The entire experience was amazing! The location was trendy, the site was immaculate. They gave such a warm welcome ! We got the couples massage. The champagne experience for v day was unforgettable. We will definitely come back to see Antonio and staff! Thank you so much for making our Valentines day unforgettable

I started coming to Unwind Wellness when my usual spot became harder to book with and honestly, I’m so glad I’ve found it! My cousin introduced me to this spot a while back and I’ve recently been coming more often! Their staff have been amazing! Their services are phenomenal and they have some great massage therapists! Very professional, welcoming, and really open to feedback! It’s become one of my favorite massage spots where I can just come in right after work or book for a personal self care day. It’s well worth the price and I would recommend unwind to anyone who wants to just relax or fix a couple of bad knots. My experience has truly made me leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend!

I had a facial with Naomi and it was truly the best facial I’ve ever experienced! She was incredibly thorough, and the entire session was so calming and refreshing. Naomi was attentive, kind, and really took the time to understand my skin and concerns. My skin looked radiant and felt so clean afterward! She gave me thoughtful recommendations on what products to use, and I could tell she genuinely cared about helping me reach my skin goals. She's such a warm, caring person, and even mentioned she's new to this location. so I absolutely wanted to support her by leaving this review. I’m already looking forward to my next appointment!
