RiverPlex Recreation and Wellness Center

We visit here every year for the Mark Linder Walk For brain cancer. Seems like a nice facility with tons of parking.

Went to the Riverplex to change my membership to Silver Sneakers due to a change in my insurance. Met with Bel in Sales….awesome experience. Fast and easy. Bel is very pleasant and an asset to their staff. The Riverplex is a great gym. Offers everything I need and more. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Love that they pay close attention to cleanliness and safety of members. Highly recommend!

Went down there with friends for the "winter-time" farmers market! It was very crowded and lots of neat things to see. The only thing I bought was some honey from some beekeepers. 😋

Incredibly unsafe environment. After several months of harassment by another member, we escalated the case to the building level management who informed us they had no instrument at their disposal to enforce the code of conduct they expect of their members, and that we should just ignore the intimidation of the other member. We hate to leave this place, particularly because of the relationships that we have formed with so many good people here, but the dereliction of the duty of care by management is just unacceptable and morally questionable. I hate to say it, but you’d be safer going somewhere that values member safety over money.

For what it is it doesn't seem bad if you're a member. I'm not so I have to walk I'd say about half a mile to get into the building then you have to walk back. I'm not there for their services the thing I'm there for just uses some of their rooms.

An incredible facility for health and fun. They have multiple swimming areas which include lap pools and lazy rivers and of course the water slides and kids play area. They also have a very clean workout rooms and locker rooms. One of my favorite things about this place is the view of the Illinois River while you are there. The back side facing the river is pretty much a wall full of Windows which makes for a beautiful scenery while having fun or working out.

Stopped for facility tour. Great facility directly adjacent to the river. Multiple sport venues....wall climb...pool...gyms... weights...instructed classes- they have it all...as well as access to Y with membership. Excellent parking and plentiful.
