In one word I would say it was RESTORATIVE! I'm 75 and I have never been so relaxed and weightless. I was so comfortable and at ease. The stress just drained right out of my body. I never moved, I never felt restless. It was a fabulous experience. It was like I hit my reset button. The staff were very knowledgeable and kind. They answered all of my questions. This was my 1st time, but clearly not my last.
Such a relaxing, well-thought-out experience. The location in East Providence is beautiful, and the space itself feels calm the moment you walk in. From the cozy float pod room (with its own shower and everything provided) to the incredibly relaxing float experience, it truly feels like everything just melts away. The 30-minute 4D massage was amazing — fully customized and one of the few chairs I’ve tried that really focused on neck and shoulders. The salt room was another highlight, with a peaceful atmosphere, salt flooring, stretching space, and thoughtful self-care touches that made it feel intentional and grounding. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and all the little extras (locker setup, water, mints, hairbrush, etc.) really showed how much they care about the customer experience. I left feeling noticeably more relaxed — both mentally and physically. Highly recommend if you’re looking to prioritize self-care.
The staff were very kind and informative. The facility was clean and organized. My boyfriend and I left there and felt relief from our aching joints for quite a few days and we are still feeling relaxed from the experience. The only thing that we didn’t like was the lockers being in the front by the doors also once in the chamber, the emergency button wasn’t easy to find once the lights went out. Gratefully there were no emergencies and the entire experience was exactly what we needed for our aching bodies. We also felt that it was well worth the price we paid.
I have now been twice to Float and I can honestly say that I will continue this for the foreseeable future. I even became a VIP member. I was having horrible migraines, tinnitus and anxiety and this seems to quiet all of it down. So, for me, it’s about keeping me healthy and sane! Taynisha (I hope I’ve got here name right) was the attendant there today and she was so friendly and inviting. She accommodated me in a double float pod and it was heavenly. I appreciated her kindness and sincere attention. She even had me try the massage chair for a few minutes which I will be adding to my next float. I’d also love to try the halo therapy at some point. The spa itself is so clean and the atmosphere is serene & calming. They have wonderful little amenities like ear plugs, ear swabs, make-up remover, body wash, shampoo and conditioner and huge thick towels. You don’t really need to bring anything with you since everything is provided. In the beauty bar, there’s blow dryers and combs, mints, lotion and other items to help you get on your way looking your best. I’d give them more than 5 stars if I could!
The wonderful worker was gracious & helpful. However, there were 2 of us floating together, and there was only the ONE changing room w/ shower. There was no comfortable/ convenient place for one of us to stay while the other changed & showered. There also should be a device to spin dry our bathing suits, for kind convenience (or a bag that's offered for the wet suit). Overall, I woke up the next 3 days more sore than ever; which could've been from the water temp (not very warm)?? Despite the front desk clerk's wonderful personality, we won't be back 😢
The 4D massage was ... interesting. My back and shoulders enjoyed it, but it was not comfortable on various parts of my body. It might be a good option if you're a bigger person. I found the salt cave to be very good for my sinuses, and the float therapy I would HIGHLY recommend. I recommend the single tank if you're alone, and even if you go with someone. You come out feeling EXTREMELY refreshed. You have the option to do it with (nearly) complete sensory deprivation or with music, or with lights, or both. I think the music could be more low-key sound waves rather than the piano, which was a little too plinky for my liking, so I opted for silence. I recommend getting a very good swim cap, especially if you have locs or braids. My makeshift trash bag swim cap did not work out at all. I hear that they are investing in some to offer clients who'd like to protect their hair. The staff are incredibly kind and helpful. They'll answer all your questions. Their lotions and shampoos are high quality. The only recommendation I'd make here, besides hair protection for the float therapy, is that they should check more often for empty product containers. I'll be coming back and I've recommended this spot to everyone I know. The float therapy is worth every cent!
I visited Drip yesterday and I will most likely return! First I'll explain some areas needing improvement in my experience yesterday, then I'll explain why I hope (!) to be back. The front desk attendant was not unfriendly, but spoke very quickly and assumed I knew information I didn't (how the lockers unlock and lock, where the head rest was inside the tank). When I asked follow-up questions she answered, but in a brief way that felt a little off-putting. For example: I had to ask 3 or 4 different ways before she fully explained the locker key to me; meanwhile, she was 10 feet away at the counter and could have just shown me. While in the tank, I could hear footsteps upstairs, despite earplugs and the music playing. This wasn't a dealbreaker for me. Buuuuut maybe 20 minutes into my float, the entire system--lights, music--turned off completely! I panicked and lost any benefits I had gained already in the float, and had to turn everything back on and start to relax again. When I checked out, there were two attendants. Neither asked me how my float was--or I would have told them about the interrupted float. They also did not offer me (as I see on the website today) to convert my reservation as a first-timer into one of the packages available to first-timers. I'm disappointed I missed that opportunity! I would love to return! Why? I love the tanks! As others described here, they are akin to a small room that is all bathtub or hot tub, so much less claustrophobic than other tanks (which I have tried). The facility is small (just one bathroom) but beautiful and clean. And most of all? I was able to truly relax. It felt like hours in there, and I experienced a calm and solitude that supported my entire nervous system to reset. I'm hoping Drip will reach out to explain the interruption/shutting off during my float, and whether I can still sign up for a first-time package. I'd love to return if the interruption is an unusual occurrence (I'm hoping so)!
