Wingate by Wyndham Frisco

Due to the winter storm we experienced this weekend, I had to extend my stay, and my experience was very positive. Everything was clean and cozy, and the customer service was attentive and helpful the entire time. I truly appreciated how well everything was handled and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location to stay the night when leaving the city. Our room was clean except a few stains on the carpet. I checked the mattress as I always do first thing and they were in excellent shape, no stains or anything else alarming. The amenities were nice. The back of the coffee pot had been used for milk or formula so I couldn't use it. The lobby had plenty of coffee for breakfast. The breakfast was a good variety with hot and cold food including fruits, cereal, and juices. Overall it was a great quick stay. We will definitely stay again when in the area. Friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, great value, safe parking.

Under renovation & Not told this when booking. Room had 1 light that worked. Lights on wall barely hanging on. No coffee maker in room. TV was just sitting on the desk. Charged a incidental fee, for what!? Definitely will NOT be back!

Hotel under renovations. Usually I wouldn't mind, but the place is a pig sty and there is constantly construction crews everywhere. On top of that, the room keys seem to be deleting their room info so people,and I mean multiple rooms are having to get maintenance to let them in their room, or get new cards. The breakfast was bare minimum and the frosted flakes were corn flakes and the honey nut Cheerios were regular Cheerios. All things by themselves would be acceptable, but all together, unacceptable.

There was no hot water. It would only get Luke warm. We were only there two nights and checked in late the first night. The next morning we were up at 5 AM because the bed was so uncomfortable and asked if they could move us even for additional cost to a different room and they said none was available. When we woke up to pack, we found bedbugs. We were not advised it was under construction and it was so dirty. I couldn’t believe it. The bottled Water had to be paid for in cash. Very bad experience. Do not stay here!

Just ok. It smelled a little funny in the rooms, so I actually had to spray the spray out of my bag and spray the room so that it wasn't as strong. Some stains on the carpet in the room we stayed in. The front desk was very friendly and helped us out when a few people got locked out of a different room. Service is good, just not the greatest accommodations.

I stayed in Room 209 for four days, around Thanksgiving 2024. The room was clean. The hotel is under renovation, and there were workers out in the halls, making a mess. This, in itself, didn't bother me. However, I was troubled by the staff's attitude about other things. On Thanksgiving morning, I went down to the breakfast at 8:45 AM -- a full 45 minutes before breakfast ended. However, by that time most of the breakfast items were gone, with no effort being made to replenish these. (The situation wasn't quite as bad on the other mornings.) The absolute worst aspect of my stay was the terrible wi-fi service, which faded in and out, causing the internet on my laptop to keep "freezing." (I ended up using the hotspot data from my personal cell phone, which allowed me to use the internet on my laptop without incident.) At several points, I checked the list of nearby networks, and saw that a number of other guests apparently also were compelled to use their cell phones' hotspots. But when I informed the front desk about the problem with the hotel's guest wi-fi network, he shrugged it off. Similarly, when I checked out and informed the front desk about a non-working light fixture and partially detached toilet seat in the room, the staffer glibly suggested that, since the hotel is under renovation, these problems somehow would be addressed in the process. He was reluctant even to make a written note of these issues with my room! This hotel is mediocre at best.
