My husband got me a surprise spa day at Sweet Water Spa and it was absolutely wonderful! The package included time in their infrared sauna, a mud wrap, pedicure, facial and a massage. Safe to safe I left there feeling amazing and so relaxed. I had never had a facial before and Patty did the best job making me feel comfortable and educated me on my face and what could help with my dryness. If I lived in Savannah GA I would be making an appointment with her regularly it was THAT good!! The entire staff was courteous and attentive to needs and each service was perfect. They even gave me hot rose tea with honey at the end of my time there as I relaxed in a dimly lit room. I absolutely recommend them to anyone traveling to Savannah!
This spa is amazing, full of charm and Savannah vibes. For my first massage ever I had an amazing custom done by Heather D. She is SO fun and spunky AND an amazing massage therapist. I can’t imagine I’ll ever have a better massage than what she provided but I will definitely be scheduling routine visits and will be back to Sweetwater when we’re in town!!!
Four us us went to Sweet Water Spa for massages, facials and pedicures, in various combinations of treatments. The spa was clean, the services were great and staff very friendly. All of us recommend the spa.
I walked in and booked a 60 min massage. I was told it would be $125. i arrived at my appointment time and the massage was wonderful. The issue at hand is when i went to check out, I was given a different total of $140. Confused, I asked why because the young lady who booked my appointment told me a different price. I was told i booked custom massage and that is the price for a custom. I have no idea of a custom as i book a 60 min. never been there to even know what custom consisted of. All i was told is she would talk to her. That does nothing for me. Im thankful I had it to pay but I would have rather paid what I was quoted.
Great experience— took my sister for a massage before her wedding & it was a phenomenal experience. It was both of our first times, we never felt rushed or uncomfortable. Sedrick was understanding & took his time to communicate to figure out my needs and preferences, wish we didn’t live far away!! We would definitely be coming back!
I have been a loyal customer at Sweetwater Spa for six years. Every Christmas my mom gets my husband and I gift certificates for couples massages and I come for facials. I have enjoyed massages there whenever I'm able to book them. There are a couple of massage therapists who have a tendency to talk for the entire massage, which I dislike because I'm there to fully relax. But one therapist named Christy ( if she's even still there) has been incredible. This year I had a massage scheduled and had a dead car battery so I reached out to cancel. I rescheduled and showed up a few days later for my massage. My gift certificate was for two massages plus gratuity. However upon checking out the woman at the desk told me to add gratuity. I told her to take it from the gift certificate without realizing my mom had already included it upon purchase. This left an amount on the certificate that isn't enough for my husband's massage. When I got back from my massage my husband told me the spa had also charged us 140.00 on our debit card. I was confused so called to inquire and was told that I was charged that amount for the missed appointment when my battery had died. I called the salon and the woman confirmed that the charge was for the missed appointment. I explained that I live on a budget and that amount was not told to me when I rescheduled and that it would negatively affect my ability to get groceries for the upcoming week. She said it was policy and told me there was nothing she could do. I explained that I had canceled appointments in the past and was never charged ( this was when Keith was at the front desk and he was incredible). Nothing I said mattered and she basically told me good luck. As a result I reached out to the manager and she told me the exorbitant charge for the missed appointment would remain. For that reason and the fact that I wasn't told about it, plus the issue with the gift certificate not being accounted for so that my husband and I could get a massage, I am no longer going to use Sweetwater Spa. It's obvious that they do not care about long term, loyal clients and do not care about having integrity or compassion. I would advise any future people looking for spa services to choose another place. You run the risk of having a massage therapist talk about themselves incessantly during your massage and dealing with staff and management that clearly do not care.
Truly an awful experience with Sweet Water Spa — especially for group bookings. I reserved 6 massages for a girls’ trip to Savannah. Unfortunately, we experienced a death in the family and had to cancel the weekend. I notified the spa over 96 hours in advance (4 full days) via email since they were closed and not answering phones, and I followed up with a call first thing the next morning. For context: - Single appointments require 24 hours’ notice. - Groups of 3–5 require 72 hours’ notice. - Groups of 6+ require signing a contract noting a 7 day cancellation policy. 2 of the 6 guests were still planning to attend, meaning only 4 appointments needed adjustment. I provided more than 96 hours’ notice — well beyond the 72-hour cancellation window that applies to groups of 3–5. Despite this, because I had signed a contract for 6, they refused to honor even the 72-hour policy and insisted on charging the full amount for all 6 services. I offered multiple reasonable solutions: • Find replacement guests • Accept a partial refund • Convert the balance to a gift certificate or credit • Adjust services for the two guests still going Instead, I was given a 2-hour deadline to provide replacement names or lose everything -- and, this was still over 72 hours until our actual appointment slots. There was zero flexibility, zero compassion, and no attempt at a fair compromise — even during a death in the family. If I hadn't filled those spots, they would have received 100% of payments for 6 massages (even though I could still fill 2), they would have cancelled all 6 massages, AND had enough time to refill those spots for another customer benefiting twice. Policies are one thing. Rigid enforcement without any professionalism or empathy is another. I would strongly advise AGAINST anyone considering a group booking. Completely unprofessional service in cases of emergency.
