Hands down the best shiatsu massage in NYC. I’ve been coming here consistently for over 7 years, and the quality of the massage has never dropped. Every session is excellent—strong, precise, and truly authentic shiatsu. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely care about their clients. You can tell they really know what they’re doing, and the consistency over the years is what keeps me coming back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable, authentic shiatsu massage experience in NYC.

Appointment process was simple and easy, location is no frills but clean, 90 minute massage for sore muscles was a great experience and my massage therapist was professional and thorough, being told about what is an appropriate tip is not appreciated by front desk attendant! A tip is exactly that, if and how much I chose to tip is my decision. Made for an overall disappointment in entire process.

Highly recommended! Came here several times and tried most of the masseuses. Received an amazing massage each time and will continue coming back for more! The space is very comforting and welcoming thanks to the friendly staff. Good energy all around. If you like getting your back walked on, there is no better place in NYC than here. They’re all also great at the non-walking-on-your-back massage, too. Profession, prompt and clean — thank you!

I highly recommend them. The massage is definitely strong and deep, exactly what I needed for my stiff neck, shoulders, and back. I'm definitely coming back and highly recommend them.

As a Japanese American, I’m always on the lookout for a great shiatsu massage spot. If you’re looking for the full spa experience with soothing music and a serene ambiance, this isn’t it. This is the place you go when you need real bodywork. The kind that targets the knots in your back or shoulders and actually works them out. Also if you’re worried about someone walking on you, don’t be. They do a combination. I just had a massage here and will definitely be coming back. It reminded me of some of the treatments I’ve had in Japan. They really know what they’re doing. This isn’t one of those massages where they just go through the motions and call it a day. I left feeling lighter and rejuvenated.

Across the street from Louis Vuitton on the posh end of Fifth Ave, Salon de Tokyo is no frills, clean and calm. And affordable. Akiya has worked as a masseuse for 20+ years. She is knowledgeable and makes sure to listens to your concerns. The only downside for me is I have fibromyalgia and I’m not certain that shiatsu, deep tissue was the right decision. I usually have more gentle work. And, thankfully I did NOT have my back walked on. But my energy level did revive and I’m a bit looser. There are no miracles for me but all in all it was a good experience.

I recently visited Salon de Tokyo recently ,and had an exceptional experience. The massage itself was phenomenal. My therapist was highly skilled, attentive to my needs, and ensured I was comfortable throughout the entire session. The pressure was just right, and I could feel the tension melting away with every stroke. What stood out to me was the level of care and professionalism, which made the entire experience incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. In addition to the superb massage, the staff's attention to detail, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere made this one of the best spa experiences I've ever had in the city. I left feeling refreshed, recharged, and will definitely be returning. If you're looking for a top-notch Asian massage experience in New York, I highly recommend Salon Tokyo.
