I stayed here many years ago. It needed a little update at that point. Staff was great with early check in. Trying to remember if I took the train in. Either way, it's extremely convenient to get here by plane, Amtrak or bus. Amtrak or Greyhound/bus, just walk out of station past Metrolink up across street. From Lambert Airport take the lightrail to Civic Center/Amtrak/Greyhound up across street. Bed was comfortable. Fairly clean. But you're downtown. Walk or ride 1 stop to STL Union Station, 3-4 stops to either Convention Ctr or Laclede's landing for Arch or Miss. Rvr Cruises or restaurants. This could be a really nice place and time. Thinking of going back for a stay

The location is incredible, especially if you plan to visit St. Louis without a car. I used the light rail and bus to get absolutely everywhere, since there's a light rail station and a major bus depot literally across the street. The bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, and I had a very nice view looking south towards the Anheuser-Busch Brewery (which I visited). The staff was extremely friendly, and even got me an early check in several hours early. Now I do understand some of the complaints most people have. This hotel is in serious need of an update. New wallpaper, new light fixtures, new carpets, in particular. The bathroom was totally fine, as was the bed itself, but the decor just needs an overhaul. I was by myself and there for one night only, so I really didn't care, but I would strongly encourage OYO to invest in updating the place. With such a great location, this could be a truly exceptional hotel with just a bit of work.

This hotel was in a great location but it needs a major update. In our room we had wall paper peeling everywhere, drop ceiling had several holes and stains on it, the pull out couch looked like it was from the 90's. The bathroom was nice and clean with decent water pressure. The bed was pretty comfortable. I was also told at check in that they don't take discover, I thought this was strange since this is how I reserved and paid for the room from their website. Parking was $25 a night and was deducted from the hold they put on the card at the end of the stay.

This is an awful place. Location and service were fine. Everything else though was bad. Don’t do it your self even if Hotwire picks it for you, trust me. Edit: The only positive about this was the location. The room had such a strong odor of smoke that hit you like a brick wall when you opened the door. There was stains on the carpet, some being very questionable. The fridge didn’t work very well. The bathroom had a sewage smell. This is probably your business model, but the 25 dollars for parking which is sometimes a third of the cost of the room itself is kind of crazy. You guys don’t do complimentary breakfast that is fine but a pot of coffee just seems like it’s not asking too much. The staff was nice, kind of peculiar but nice. Except why say the pool closes at 10 when that really means maintenance on the pool starts at 8:45 and everyone needs to be out. Those are the details of why I will not be staying here again. I wasn’t expecting much, but somehow was still let down. Take care

For the price, the hotel needs a lot of clean up. Wallpaper was peeling in every room, furniture is old and not in good shape. Needs a coffee pot in the room. Carpets throughout are stained. No bedding for the sofa sleeper. The restaurant was not open during our stay. We had to ask for extra toilet tissue at the front desk. However, the location is great. Easy access to highways, entertainment, sports, and restaurants.

I am not usually a negative reviewer but I felt like the photos of the hotel we stayed at totally duped us. I booked an express deal for last Friday and previous I have had awesome luck so I never hesitate! We ended up being booked at the Oyo in downtown St. Louis. Great location, I looked through the photos and they looked decent. When we got to the hotel, the people at the front desk were…opposite of friendly. As we were walking to our room, I noticed the hallways were kind of dirty. Then we got to our room and I was absolutely mortified. I’ve attached photos. You’re better off to stay at a cheap motel than here. There was a burn hole and nasty stain on the mattress with NO mattress cover. The desk chair was so stained and nasty, it had a big tear in the back. There was dust and dirt everywhere, the walls and doors were scuffed and stained. They closed the pool an hour earlier than was posted. To my surprise, the pool was (visibly) clean.

I seriously don’t understand how anyone could leave more than 2 stars on this place. We were just passing through St. Louis on a road trip, the Hyatt was booked up so we used this as our backup because the photos looked pretty good and the pricing was similar. However upon arriving I realized it’s in one of the worst parts of town. They have private parking which costs a whopping $25 per night. There’s no free breakfast, the bar "closes when it feels like it" I went an hour before they closed and couldn’t even get a salad. There’s no breakfast close at all except a tiny cafe downstairs which barely has any food. The rooms don’t even have windows! Most of the hotel is outdated and very ran down looking. Most of the furniture in the rooms looks like it’s from old horror movies. Absolutely hideous elevators. They should be charging no more than $60 per night for this place, I paid $135 which is a crime! I’m only leaving 2 stars because the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and my car didn’t get stolen/broken into. Complete dump with filthy rooms. The building itself has incredible architecture and has massive potential if only a competent and wealthy chain bought them out.
