We have stayed here twice whilst visiting my son who is going to the University. It is a beautiful old building. Do not expect a mini fridge or coffee pot in your room because it will not be there. They do have coffee, tea etc for breakfast in the beautiful dining room along with bagels, English muffins, yogurt, cereal etc. There is a speak easy in the basement with live music. They make fabulous drinks and food. There is also a high end streak house ay the Inn as well. I do recommend staying here.

The room was absolutely amazing, and newly renovated. The building itself is beautiful older feel to it which I absolutely loved. Me and my fiance stayed there for our wedding night and would definitely come back. But the highlight of our stay was the bar . We had an amazing bartender Tyler, all the drinks were delicious. The prices are a bit steep but the quality and service more than made up for it. A perfect place to stay for a special occasion

There is a lot of potential here, but they need a new manager who knows how to master the fundamentals of hotel management. The pros: (1) the architecture and room design are much more interesting than more modern hotels and give it a lot of character, (2) the staff were generally friendly if a little frazzled, and (3) the location is nice if going to the arena or other downtown events. The cons: (1) we received a text and an email warning us there would be no elevator available during our stay, with a request that we reach out if that would be a problem. Multiple replies through text and email asking which floor we were likely to be on were ignored. We had a nice room on the 3rd floor, which was fine. (2) The biggest issue was that the heating system was not working on a night when the temperature outside was 18 degrees, real feel. The room was 63 degrees when we checked in around 6 p.m. because the heater was off. We turned it on, set it to 71, and left for an event, assuming it would be much warmer in the room when we returned in 4 hours. The room was 64 degrees when we returned. Fortunately, there was a gas fireplace in the room and turning that on started warming the room up, albeit very slowly. (3) For a "premium" room, there were few amenities now considered standard, such as a coffee maker, etc., and (4) as others have noted, the breakfast was very bare bones and, horror of horrors, they ran out of coffee (this was at 9 am., breakfast ran until 10). A few people complained to the person at the front desk (the only staff around) and he tried his best to rectify the situation but was clearly nonplussed. In general, a fine but not great stay.

We had a funeral to attend in Rochester and thought, let’s make the best of our weekend. I adore finding niche, well appointed and places to stay with character and charm. The Inn on Broadway was exquisite. The pre-arrival communication was stellar, our check in seamless, and the friendliness of all the staff superior to most of the places I’ve stayed in both the US and abroad. With well appointed rooms and charming decor, it felt like home (well, a fancier home than ours haha!) We couldn’t have been more pleased. Our best to the front desk staff, the valet, and the delightful "guard" of the speakeasy. I will recommend you to all.

Absolutely charming hotel! Beautiful room with thoughtful amenities, great shower, luxury robes, bottled water, etc. Elegant main floor bar and fun speakeasy in the lower level. Luxurious restaurant on site but super convenient to other options. I have been here twice and will definitely be back. Did I mention the staff? Could not be nicer or more accommodating. One of the nicest places I have stayed in years.

The hotel is in a good location in Rochester. The place is clean and well- decorated. The people at the front desk were very helpful and pleasant. We enjoyed the bar, and the complimentary bagels and coffee in the morning. Also, the price for a room is very reasonable. All in all, we'd definitely recommend this hotel to travelers.

Excellent stay in every way. Beautiful lobby area. It’s an old historic hotel with a few cosmetic tweaks going on, good for them. Our room was very nicely appointed, the bed and pillows quite comfortable. We had dinner downstairs in the restaurant and the food was wonderful, but not as exceptional as the wait staff. These people were working HARD to make sure all went smoothly, and it did. The location was very convenient to many different places of interest, parking was a breeze. Safe and quiet. I would have loved to stay here another night- or week. Loved it!
