Steve their DNS (Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) Specialist is very knowledgeable, educating you through the whole process, and teaches you in a way you can understand. While working with your body, he helps to retrain your brain and mindset. He's with you every step of the way, working out knots and kinks, to connecting your body back to your mind, and making sure you get the most out of your workouts. You just tell him what your desired outcome is and he will do his best to make that happen. The only few things you need to do is show up, put in the work, STAY HYDRATED and follow his advice. After the first few sessions I've noticed quite a difference physically, mentally, and emotionally. My biggest improvement is in my posture which bothered me constantly. I struggled to correct it for so many years, due to being a side sleeper, so I couldn't be happier with the results. The first session is FREE and you don't have to have a gym membership there to use his services. Just go the gyms front desk and ask for Steve OR for his sign up sheet. Sadly the gym facilities have been deteriorating for years and it gets worse every year. The steam rooms are always layered in mold, rarely cleaned, and not working properly or out of order more times than they are working. The Jacuzzis have had a thick thick thick (yes 3x) layer of foam which has been that way for years...it's absolutely disgusting. The locker room shower drains back up after a minute of the water running...I'd rather not stand in a foot of dirty water when I'm trying to get clean. Take a peak at the shower curtains and you will see they don't get cleaned...just replaced every few years. There is always a handful of gym equipment broken down. I'm not sure I've ever seen any of the employees cleaning anything. I'm confused why they need 3-4 employees scanning peoples IDs at the front. If you go to any other gym in the area, its a night and day difference. This gym used to be a great deal when it was in good running condition many years ago. Oh yeah and they also used to provide towels. I wonder where the money is being spent or if there just isn't any money being invested into these facilities. To be clear, I love the centre of Elgin and the fact that they try to offer quality recreation to the community. The swimming pool and ceramics studio are awesome!!!! However, I am warning community members to be extremely wary of signing up for a gym membership here.

It’s very expensive, dudes use their underwear instead of bathing suits and one guy was shaving and washing his hair with shampoo in the whirlpool… that’s pretty gross. There are no marked rules against this behavior, just no nudity and no towels in the whirlpool. The 24 hour gym nearby has a hot tub and rules against those things as well as a lifeguard to prevent it. Unbelievably rude, I’m don, been 3 times and I will never go back. Overall very clean and nice machines, a little outdated but I mean they work well.

Plenty to do, great gym layout with a walking/running path and (my personal favorite) a climbing wall. The facility has always been clean with good service staff.

The only reason Im giving two stars is because the water quality from the fountains there is so bad I get sick after drinking it often. They really gotta upgrade that water filtration. The water filter at my own house and job is 10x better than the ones used at this location.

Great family friendly facility! We love the programs, the pools, and the indoor track! Staff are all very friendly and professional

We been there first time , very nice facility with so many amenities, my kid have so much fun at the pool. we will be back
