The Zen Room

I have been a client of Jen Yuki Olives for over 6 years now ... back when she was in San Carlos. If I could rate 6 stars, 7 stars, 8 stars, I would. Before I was a client of hers, I would only get facials once every quarter or once or twice a year. Now, I get them monthly because her facials are nothing like anything I have ever gotten before. Each facial is customized after she assesses my skin and talks me through her recommendations. Today, I had a facial AND a glycolic acid peel for the first time. She asked me every few minutes how it felt from 1 to 10. She was patient as my skin reacted from an 8 to 5 to 2. I love how educated she is and how she continues to learn about skincare and the European quality products that she uses on her clients. I have also bought the skincare line from her. It is high end and a little expensive (but aren't they all?), but they last a long time. Jen Yuki Olives is an amazing esthetician. She listens. She is thorough. She is gentle, yet her massage for the face, scalp, neck, shoulders and above the chest is strong and firm. She uses European quality skincare. She gives personalized care. You glow at the end. Overall, she is wonderful and I highly recommend The Zen Room. I wrote the same review on Yelp because I want more people to know how amazing The Zen Room is!

Best facial in San Mateo! Lymphatic treatment for my face helps reducing breakouts w my cycle. Jen gives me advice when making my own skin care. I can feel the love she puts into each session, and she keeps me looking young!

Yuki is the penultimate professional. She is kind, respectful, knowledgeable, caring and extremely talented in her facial technique and effective treatments. If I could go to her monthly, I would most certainly do so! Such a treat! Cannot say enough good about her. Highly highly recommend!
