Raines Law Room Chelsea

We found this speakeasy randomly while looking for a place to grab a drink before dinner. To my pleasant surprise it is an underground speakeasy. we rand the doorbell, and the nice hostess allowed us in without a reservation or secret password. They have an outdoor garden and a traditional speakeasy set up with couches and separation curtains. Ordering you pull a chain. Service wasn’t the most friendly, basic at best. However Would reccomend the drinks and the vibes were cool!

Stopped in before our dinner reservation in Koreatown. Didnt have a reservation but they had room at the back bar where all the bartenders and managers were extremely friendly, helpful and inviting. Worth the stop, especially if you reserve a private table with a group of 4+

Came here for cocktails after work. They have a decent few mocktails on the menu and they were not overly sweet either which is nice. It's got a speak easy vibe to the place very intimate seating. Was a lot of fun to check out, would come again.

This review isn't about the speakeasy, per se, rather a review of the outstanding service I received from two of the bartenders at a recent event I attended. I was in NYC for a Wine and Food Festival and I was concerned about the availability of N/A spirits or mocktails. I emailed the establishment, and was told that they couldn't make a guarantee due to the uncertainty of what spirits would be provided. (I assumed as much, but can't hurt to ask, right?) Well, I was absolutely blown away when I went to my event and the bartenders, Luke and Francisco (Cisco), had not only been informed of my prior email, they had a specialty drink ready for me. I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to go to the actual Raines Law Room, but if the service that I received that night was indicative of the service they offer every day, I recommend this place 10,000,000%. Many kudos once again to the Raines Law Room and their incredibly amazing bartenders, Luke and Cisco.

Absolutely magical!! My wife and I made this one of our stops for our 11th anniversary celebration and we could not have picked a better place. From the moment we stepped foot into the place we were made to feel like royalty. The manager, Luke, took time to speak with us to find out our preference in drinks and what kind of cocktail experience and flavors we were looking for. The drinks we were recommended were not only SPOT ON, but also delicious and unique. I, myself being a non-drinker was pleasantly surprised at the quality of non-alcoholic drink options available to me at a speakeasy. It was the perfect place for our special day. Between the amazing atmosphere, Luke's (and the staff's) attentiveness and welcoming, their attention to detail, and quality of drinks we were served, I find it impossible to not make this a regular spot for any celebration or a regular night out with friends. I highly recommend at least checking it out to satisfy curiosity, but I'd be surprised if anyone wouldn't fall in love with Raines Law Room after the first visit just like my wife and I did. Thank you, Luke, and all the staff who made us and our day feel so special.

A really cool speakeasy bar with a great atmosphere. We specifically chose this bar based on photos and reviews. The drinks were also tasty and reasonably priced.

I loved this speakeasy cocktail spot. I’ve been to so many places and rarely do I walk out thinking that the drinks are worth it. Raines drinks were definitely worth it. I also loved how nicely decorated the patio area was. It’s so different than the inside - brightly lit and airy. They also give you blankets when you sit out there so you won’t be cold. Service was fast and they checked in on us quite often. I love the concept of ringing a doorbell to get in. Inside it feels very dark and intimate, a perfect spot for a romantic date night.
