The atmosphere was great, the drinks were great, and I definitely enjoyed myself! This was my first time visiting Charlotte and I wanted to go out for my bday and this place was great. Not too crowded, so I didn't worry about catching Covid.
The hospitality and service there is off the charts and definitely gets 5 stars, but they didnt have any fruit garnishes, and the food they served my friend was cold. They are somewhat of a hole in the wall and everyone was very casual. It was also pretty empty. But it was a Thursday night, so maybe things are different on the weekend.
Mooney's Lounge is definitely a little hidden gem. From the outside, you would miss it if not looking for it, but the inside is really cute, with back outside seating and one of the owners, Sonya, was extremely nice. The only drawback about Mooney's is the horrible parking situation,, but it's alright if you get there early. We went on Taco Tuesday and the steak, shrimp and chicken tacos were great! After 2 really good drinks and 4 tacos, I only spent $18. Loved it. They serve other food on other days. Look forward to going back...soon.
Cool, laid back, grown and sexy environment. I'm here every Friday and have a blast EVERY TIME. The staff is friendly, professional and fun. If your looking for a place to have a good time, enjoy some good food and drinks, come to Mooney's Lounge on 2525 N. Graham St.!
