Beautiful park! There was free parking in front of the Seattle Asian Art Museum. Very family and pet friendly. Duck ponds, hundred year old trees, dahlias, and more adorn the gravel walking paths and concrete sidewalks. There is a huge, shallow splash pond for kids to play in. A wonderful place to visit.
There was a dog Halloween costume parade on as we wandered into an orchid sale, passedvthrough a dahlia garden of so many amazing varieties in bloom, strolled across open fields of grass to a duck pond. There were some steps down to a memorial in an art deco style. Overall impression is that this is an open and welcoming place atop Capitol Hill.
Beautiful! It was pretty amazing to look through the sculpture to see the Space Needle aligned right in front of it. The park itself is also just a great place to wander.
A case of making lemonade out of necessity. The city had to have a pair of resivoirs so they made the area around them look pretty. They did an exceptional job. There is an art museum (horribly expensive, I didn’t go in) a hothouse and a large expanse of grass. There is even a dahlia garden. For what it was, an exceptional bit of beauty
Volunteer park is one of my favorite parks in Seattle. It has lots of interesting landmarks such as the Seattle Asian Art Museum, the Conservatory, and the Observation Tower. There is plenty to see and it is very nice to walk around. There are always lots of ducks and other birds. Also there is a good view of the Seattle skyline. It is very clean and I would certainly recommend visiting once you get the chance.
Perfect cloudy winter day for a urban walk in the city. Great park, loved seeing other people out with dogs.
One of our most favorite parks in Seattle. Very spacious and well maintained. In winter it has much more snow than in downtown to our greatest enjoyment! Volunteer Park Conservatory houses a great collection of plants and is totally worth a visit.
