The Standard

My husband and I absolutely loved this hotel. At the bar area, a gentleman named Mario made hour night even better. He was very polite, he laughed with us, he joked with us, he was definitely a great host. Our room was spectacular, peaceful, and quiet. The room service was also perfect. The food was amazing, and we will definitely be back.

Very upscale, great for a date night or small parties. My mother and I went here on a girls trip. I wanted a "best steak in Nashville" vibe and I’d say it hit the spot! Old historic building, make sure to read about the history!

I'm told presentation is 75%. And all the food looked great. After talking with my Executive Chief Friend at Juniper in Johnson City TN it sounds like The Standard lacked in execution. Most of the food tastes was underwhelming... And we tasted alot. The Green beans broth was overwhelming. Staff was awesome!

We were in Nashville for one night and decided to dine at the The Standard and it did not disappoint! The historic townhouse is 18,000 sf and the staff is more than happy to show it off. The bar area is stunning, we enjoyed a cocktail there before heading to our table for dinner. We dined in a room that housed the rarest collection of Makers Mark bourbon in the world! The food was exquisite. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant experience.

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at The Standard at The Smith House, and it was easily the best dining experience we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was upscale yet welcoming, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. I had the camel tenderloin and my wife ordered the Standard filet — both were cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Every detail, from presentation to hospitality, reflected a true commitment to excellence. We left feeling celebrated and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend.

Incredible! We came to celebrate our engagement and it was phenomenal! Kelly was so great and walked us through and taught us about the mansion! Our servers Alan and Nick were incredible, and so friendly!! The food was, insanely wonderful! I’m hungry just thinking about it! By far the best fillet I have ever had!! We got to sit in the bar area that used to be the back patio, before dinner and enjoy a drink! Such a good menu of options and amazing service with Fernando! And.. for dessert, GET THE BREAD PUDDING!!

Went for my birthday dinner. We had four people total and got an amazing table up in the balcony. The house vibes were perfect for the occasion. The bisque was amazing. The Caesar salad could have used a little more flavor but they do make all their dressings in house. The cocktails and chocolate mousse were amazing.
