Rudy's "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q

Exceptional brisket and friendly service. I arrived in the city in the evening and was looking for great BBQ. Based on a unanimous recommendation from the hotel front desk, I headed to Rudy’s. Even though they were not serving on the menu, my favorite—beef ribs—the brisket was as tender and juicy as it gets. I arrived at 9:52 PM, just eight minutes before closing. I could tell the staff was a bit apprehensive, perhaps worried I might linger and keep them past their shift. I have a lot of respect for restaurant workers and would never want to be 'that customer,' so I made sure to move quickly. Fortunately, there was no line, and the team served me so efficiently that I was able to finish my meal without delaying anyone's departure. The 'meat and greet' was excellent, but I do have one suggestion: My only critique is the bread; serving high-quality brisket with plain white toast feels like a missed opportunity for something homemade. That aside, the meat was fantastic, and I’m glad I caught them before the doors locked.

Our very first time at Rudy's which meant that we got a sample before ordering which was absolutely delightful! We ordered moist brisket, a loaded potato with pulled pork, coleslaw and creamed corn. All of it was so tasty, it was hard to stop eating! The barbeque sauces were also very good. Portion sizes are tremendous, don't be afraid to order less than the size on the menu, they can definitely cater to your needs. They even have a drive thru!

We first had Rudy's BBQ in Brownsville Texas four days ago. We ate the Moist Brisket two days in a row! Now we're in Laredo Texas for round 3! Amazing Brisket! Pulled Pork, chicken and ribs!!! All very good!! Excellent service too!

There’s simply no other brisket as good as Rudy’s! Always perfectly cooked and juicy. Pork ribs were on the dry side today but super tasty. Jalapeño sausage is very good. Our side was creamed corn and oh boy, life is beautiful 😋…if you haven’t tried Rudy’s BBQ, ya’ll are missing big

Brisket really moist ribs tender, flavor is awesome, not bland not over seasoned. Cole slaw was fresh and very balanced in cream to solid ratio. service is kind patient and accomodating. Definitely recommend 10/10

Solid Texas BBQ - great value for the money. The pepper and pickle bar is solid. Especially good if you enjoy spicy bbq.

The Carolina pulled pork is consistently good and reliable. Unfortunately, the pork loin tends to be very dry. The sides are hit or miss, and the baked potato was disappointing—especially during the early dinner time frame.
