I’ve been waiting a long time to go on a dinner cruise and this was a very pleasant experience. There was a man on the first floor dining room and a fabulous DJ on the second floor dining room. And the food was not bad at all. Had a beautiful romantic event.
Arrived to do a job at a business in front of riverwalk. Came out to find a parking ticket on my truck. Only then did I realize that I was supposed to pay for parking. When I arrived on the street for the first time in my life I noticed construction barrels and had to make some tight turns to park. I assumed a meter had not been installed yet due to a pole with no meter where I parked. Only after the parking ticket did I notice a sign that was 1ft wide on a short pole that was completely obstructed from view where I drove into the area. I did notice the other sign at the end of the drive when I was leaving. I would have gladly payed to park if I had known. After the ticket I also realized there was a kiosk several parking spots down from where I parked. It was facing the buildings and I had no clue what it was there for until after the parking ticket. When I did find it after the parking violation ticket I found it to be powered down. I called the city about the situation with the signage and the parking meter. The director was VERY POLITE and VERY PROFESSIONAL and explained that he didn't have the manpower to remove the old poles and that they had done advertising in the area to educate the public about the meter kiosk and an app that could be used. He also said yes, the signs are small. I explained that I did look up Alabama law in regards to the signage and Alabama law doesn't specify how large the signs have to be so I would pay the ticket since it was legal. He also explained the kiosk appears to be powered down since it runs on solar and you have to press a button to wake it up. However, from me living out of town I was never aware of any parking kiosk and the signage was clearly obstructed on my entrance. I also noted that almost every vehicle around me also got a ticket and most of the tags were out of state. I was thinking of taking my mother and her friend to the zoo in Montgomery AL but I may try to not go back to this area. Thank God my vehicle didn't get towed or booted. It almost seems like a revenue stream trap. The parking spot was less than a quarter mile from riverwalk so this is why I am posting the review here. Please note to pay the meter at riverwalk. Maybe this will save someone from an unnecessary parking violation.
This Is An Awesome Experience For My Family From Toledo, Ohio, Anthony And Natalya Moody, Who Came Down To Visit Me And My Wife, Heather Bethune Davis, Here In Montgomery And We Showed Them Great Southern Hospitality As We Toured The History Of Montgomery And The River Boat As We Traveled Back In Time During The Walk To The Boat Through The Tunnel And Just To Imagine The Time Back Then Till Now And How The Water Use To Be And The Great History Here.
Had a great time at the Train Station event and then walked just down the street to the Renaissance Hotel Bar for great night cap. Thank you Jeremy Noble for the awesome live music! Well lit, easy parking, and fun atmosphere! Will be back for the next function
Very nice area to walk around downtown. It's clean and graffiti free. We enjoyed our time in Montgomery. There was hardly anyone around. We found a couple places to eat and drink coffee. I would live there.
Looks newly updated. I was here in February, so nothing is going on. Looks like a great place for music. Too bad people have already started vandalizing it.
A nice place to walk around and look. Not much going on during the weekday.
