I’m so confused by the bad reviews. We went on a Sat night and the vibes were immaculate. Industrial gritty aesthetic, hazy/dream-like lighting✨, incredible sound system, great DJ, great bartenders, decent cocktails—- and SO. MANY. HOT. QUEERS. Honestly the cover was worth it (and happy to support a local queer business).
Was a great night until we had to wait an hour for the bathroom. That’s FINE. I understand. But when I TELL you that my friends are PEEING and you BURST IN???? And you dont LISTEN???? And after I leave, you SHOVE my friend against the door???? That’s really messed up. Not a safe space. We were very respectful the whole night. Didn’t take up space. Im really disappointed in the bush. I don’t care if it’s NYE. Treat women with respect and dignity. I would NOT say this is a safe space for women. Stay safe. I’m really really upset actually.
Went to the Bush for their NYE party. I had bought my ticket 2 weeks before. I get there and the line for people with tickets is LONG. I got there around 11:10pm and had to wait until 11:55 to get in. Barely had time to get settled in before ringing in New Year’s. And idk where the complimentary glass of champagne was because I never saw it. Whats the point of getting a ticket ahead of time if you still have to wait forever to get in??
chose to spend new year’s eve and my birthday here last night and was having a great time until we 1. waited an hour for the 1 bathroom- we were all going in in 2-3 people groups because one of the bathrooms was out of order. the last one of us was going (mind you we were in there for maybe 3 minutes?) and people start aggressively banging on the door to the point where we cracked it open out of concern while one of us was still using the bathroom and 3 employees barge in and start screaming at us that we need to get out and we can’t be in there and they needed to use it. one of them also shoved one of my friend’s against the wall in doing so. as we were leaving i wanted to bring it to someone’s attention how insanely intrusive that was and she was dismissive and defensive telling me that it’s nye what do you expect? and that 3 people in the bathroom is not allowed yet everyone else was doing it. it really ruined our night and the rest of my birthday and we left pissed off and violated.
Terrible first of all the bartender sweet girl but all 3 times she made my drink terrible my lemon drop was very very sour another drink she made was bad and then I came in before they started the cover fee I wanted to step out to answer a call they told me if I step out and come back in I would be charged! Like what???? Never again
Not worth your time or money - this bar is a huge disappointment. A bartender automatically added a 30% tip to my credit card charge without my consent (this is mentioned in other reviews) which felt dishonest and unearned given the level of service. The 3 bartenders were the loudest people talking in the room. They mostly talked amongst themselves and made little effort to look after customers. If you’re looking to support queer spaces, I’d recommend taking your money somewhere that values ethics and hospitality. This bar missed the mark on both. A note to the owner: If you want to build a sustainable business that’s supported by a community, consider hiring new bartenders who actually value hospitality. Right now, the staff seem more focused on hanging out with each other than creating a good customer experience that will encourage return visits.
Always a great time. Everyone is kind there. The bartenders, ticket checker, and bouncer. Also I’ve lost my phone here and they kept it for me which I appreciate
