At The Pier Arcade

I recognize this arcade isn't what it used to be and is less than half the size of the old one from 20+ years ago. I also recognize that many of the games are focused on generating tickets for prizes, which isn't my style, so I'm not exactly the greatest match for who this arcade is trying to cater to. That being said, I walked in expecting that the few games better suited for me would be functioning correctly and that I'd at least have a mediocre time but, unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The Big Buck Hunter game has a broken gun and the other one doesn't seem to function in making selections on the screen. The one classic cabinet for Ms. Pac Man and Galaga has a joystick that sticks and gets hung up so that it doesn't follow a player's inputs. Movement is crucial in those games and I lost credits/plays because of the broken controls. Only one of the skee-ball lanes is functioning as well. The whole reason I went there was to play a couple rounds of classic games and do some shooting with a light gun controller but the experience wasn't good. I've got to give it 1 star because I regret spending money trying to have a good time when a good time couldn't be had. I also don't recommend that anyone go there because it's possible that other games aren't working correctly. I'd love to give this place my money and was prepared to drop $40-$50 today playing.

Great games but small space. The staff is very nice, especially when your kids r trying to redeem their tickets.

Staff was incredibly rude and on their phone the entire time, they only acknowledged customers when they talked and not when they were waiting at the counter. I think the name tag said Owen and it seemed like they were the only one working at the time. They weren’t helpful, answered questions vaguely, seemed amused that we were frustrated with the behavior, and acted like it was a bother for us to ask how many tickets we had/redeem them. Terrible experience and I never plan on going back even to redeem the rest of my tickets, so it ended up being $20 down the drain.

I am Reyna’s son and when I had 600 tickets I walked up to the counter and the guy recommended some great toys and one was an alien slingshot and let me tell you that thing was great it slowly climbs down glass so slowly and is very satisfying. So in conclusion this was great. 5++++++ stars!!!

Always enjoy coming here to have a little fun in the arcade The guy behind the counter is really nice and helpful You don't have to spend a lot to have a good time, they have a variety of games for your enjoyment that are very satisfying
