Stella Blues

Been going here for years Bartenders are awesome, the people are friendly and inviting plus they have a range of shows from open mic jam bands to dubstep and house/techno edm. Front end usually has the live performances so it can get noisy but back room and smoking area is always quiet if you need a break from the noise. Drinks are on the cheaper end compared to places like Bar and Rumaj. No better place in New Haven if you’re looking for a chill vibe or a great night out.

Awesome spot for live music. always a good time and i recently found out you can bring in outside food! I stpped at bar and grabbed a mashed potato pie, ate it while watching a badn frinking a HEAVY G&T. 10/10

My date (total MILF) likes live music and we heard a guy whaling on a guitar from the street and went it. A small place but we had plenty of room. $5 cover is insignificant these days and worth it for live music. Parking is close by and it costs $10. Guitar player and drummer were the stars of the show. I'd go there again.

I visited on a Sunday where electronic music was playing. The DJ was on point and the bartender was friendly. Good IPA option. Visit this bar if you're reading this far!

First visit was to attend a concert by G-Nome Project with the local band Airlooms opening for them. Drinks are expensive (when you don't frequent a certain bar) but loved overall atmosphere. Taking a whole star off for not having soap in men's restroom- not even an empty dispenser. The bands that play here (I've heard many while walking by) and G-Nome Project are f**king amazing. I would've given 5 stars for soap and cleaner restroom. Take note!

A consistent and fun dive bar. Stellas is truly "ole reliable" on any given night for dancing, playing pool, or just good banter with the bartenders.
