Mary's Club

Friends and I were in Portland for a conference. Looking for a place to get a drink and caught in a sudden downpour, we ducked out of the rain into Mary's Club, not knowing what it was or what to expect. Only later did we learn that it's a Portland institution. Long story short, we loved it, mainly because of the good music and great girls on stage. They were sweet, charming, and witty with "real female bodies." That is, they were not grotesque silicone bubbles, but real humans with attractive qualities and great moves. One girl did a comical "boobie dance" that had us laughing and showering praise, and some of the pole dancing was insane! The straight men among our group were enraptured, and the gay guys and the one woman had fun, too! Be prepared to spend some money. The drinks aren't the best, but who goes to a strip club for the drinks?! I'm very glad the rain drove us into Mary's!

Best dancers in Portland. My husband and I had such a fun night, all the dancers were wonderful and staff was great and attentive. We’ll be coming back often.

Not your average gentlemen's club. Went on a Thursday night, wasn't busy, all the girls working were absolutely stunning, they do a fantastic job of giving you the best view possible. Got a great history about the club from one of the girls, it was the first gentlemen's club west of the Mississippi, and it has that old western vibe to it. Drinks are reasonably priced. Dances are spicy. I had a interesting encounter, I thought about leaving less stars, but I have to remember Portland is a wild city and the world is full of creeps, only God knows what these girls see on a daily basis.

Old town can be challenging these days, but Mary's club is not. Friendly staff, cold beer on tap and beautiful entertainment dances before you. Hard to argue with the scenery. Not for everyone, but appreciated by most. Apparently, the dancers work for tips only, so be sure to tip for the entertainment.

Beware everyone cause...if you're a stranger who's new to this place you're likely not going to feel very welcome as there's a man host there that seems to not receive strangers well. I went here for the first time which was supposed to be an exciting experience but it turned out to be a sour time instead. He looks like he has a "regulars only" mentality, where he’s friendlier with people he knows and more dismissive with strangers. Or…maybe he was just having a bad night and let it show in his tone — but either way, you can feel it. Now, when talking to strangers, you're supposed to be a little warmer with people not talk to them in a tone that sounds almost like ur scolding someone . He didn't even have a warm, welcoming facial expression at all either, pure aloofness. I asked him if the entrance was supposed to be 3 dollars and if you can get a 2 dollar drink once you paid 5 dollars at the front door bc i thought I saw in something it said that but i wanted to confirm with him if that was true and he just only talked about saturdays being 5 dollars etc but never answered my other question about the drinks when i asked him. Then, i sat on a chair near a slot game machine thing and when he saw, he speaks to me in an aloof tone like "hey, thats my chair!" and told me to go to the other ones and i said sorry, i didnt know. And, i wasnt there for very long either. I ended up leaving almost immediately after i tipped a dancer two bucks after he came up to me again to tell me that "I HAVE TO tip the dancers and if im not constantly tipping the dancers then they can kick me out if they want to". Yeah, I'm definitely not coming here again, wasted nearly 10 dollars for a bitter experience like this.

I love that they have CBD sodas and a full bar. The ladies are very kind.

The absolute best of Portland! The coolest, smartest and most beautiful dancers. The friendliest staff. And THE most Portland address in the city. If you can only visit one club, go to Mary’s Club. Breathe in that Rose City mystique while gods gift to poles spoil you with perfection in movement.
