Joyful

First time went for Happy Hour with a Group. Service was good. Plenty of space for large groups. Got the Sweet Potato Fritters (pretty tasty). Didn’t love the quesadilla (but the bartender warned me it’s very spicy—chili oil added)—won’t get it again. Fireball was delicious and bartender was friendly and helpful! Lots of HH food and drink options. Go check it out! 2nd visit—Monday—Burger Specials—got the Western—requested Lettuce Wrap & Extra Crisp Bacon (was barely cooked) on a bun! ☹️ returned with a slice of romaine under and 1 on top🤔 with still undercooked bacon 😑 When they finally remade was a bit better—still lettuce wrap is not their thing and extra crisp bacon is not understood! Anyway, burger itself was good. Pickled Deviled Eggs are def not my thing—egg whites are rubbery from soaking in vinegar and just not a good taste! Brussel Sprouts are good after you toss them and let them sit for 20+minutes. Garlic Aioli is very good. Vibe is best for bar, but great for dining. All hardwood floors and seating, except some metal chairs near the back indoor patio. Parking can be a challenge. Very dark hallway to the bathrooms. And dark inside the women’s bathroom.

Absolutely love this place! Great food , great vibe and amazing service. Ordered a salad and wash it down with my favorite Happy Dad Seltzer Fruit Punch. Perfect nightcap! Ryan bartender and Cris manager are top notch!

The best watering hole on 17th street. Great food, fun atmosphere, good place to watch games or to grab beers after work. Whiskey selection is great and have a saloon in the back. Indoor/outdoor seating and a shuffleboard inside. Happy hour has some good deals too!

Pros: Great Happy Hour. Attentive and friendly service. Cons: Men's room is disgusting. Been here multiple times and always smells of rancid urine and is usually full of flies. Sinks are rusting as well. Food is hit or miss. The burger I had was a disaster. Way too much sauce and it was a soggy mess after a couple bites. I tried the blackened shrimp tacos instead the next time and they were pretty solid but nothing to write home about. My friend had one of the sandwiches though and said it was really good. Maybe I just picked the wrong items on the menu.

I can review the food because I didn’t have any food, but we stopped here with some friends for some drinks. The service was good. That was fun to chill little place to hang out. If you’re in the area, you should stop by.

The hunting lodge feel was great. Our server was extremely helpful, and the food was very good. We had the Korean bowl, short rib sandwich and mushrooms, steak, onion sandwich.

Great bar to watch the game. Very lively and they even have valet service. Beers were cold and not the expensive prices normally found in Newport Beach. Food was good as well. Good young crowd.
