Buffalo Exchange

Pretty small store. Visiting from out of state, my first time in a Buffalo exchange and boy did I get a surprise. Not sure why things at a thrift store are priced as high as they are but apparently that is just a buffalo exchange thing. A lot of cute, unique items because of the location and therefore I bought a few items, unsure if I’d see them again. I obviously won’t be going to this Buffalo exchange again, because I don’t live in the state, but I’m also not sure if I will be going to Buffalo exchange again in general.

Buffalo Exchange in Costa Mesa is a fantastic recycling fashion store with a great selection of clothing at good prices. Located in an outdoor mall, it’s a perfect spot for finding unique, affordable pieces. Highly recommend for eco-friendly fashion lovers!

Period stains🤢 THEY WERE SELLING PANTS WITH A LARGE PERIOD STAIN ON THEM. They don't look at quality, just the name (not always, I saw Forever 21 and Free People.) Overpriced for VERY used clothing, obviously. My boyfriend's Nike's that were worn 3 times had too much wear on them. We had plenty of lightly used, new, and well cared for items they couldn't take until a month or two from now(?) but they were absolutely ready to "donate" for us. I don't trust that. I hope this location doesn't represent the whole brand. Do better👍

Just from the long waiting lines outside the Buffalo Exchange, 5 stars ⭐️ is only fair. The place is so popular. I have been settling across the walkway sipping my Nooks coffee ☕️ for 20 minutes now and still waiting for the line to end.

Major Lose Honestly, not the best experience. The QR code wait time was way off. They had me walk around while they went through my clothes, but when I came back they just gave me a total for cash vs. store credit—no breakdown, no itemized list. When I asked which pieces they actually took, they couldn’t even tell me. On top of that, they were training a guy who clearly didn’t know how to price things or what anything was worth. Half the time he looked confused, and it didn’t make me feel confident about the offers at all. And honestly… some of the nice stuff I brought in they passed on, while the racks were full of random worn-out stuff with loose threads. Felt kinda backwards. I ended up just taking the cash to be done with it and donated the rest to Mercy Warehouse. Overall—lowball offers, no transparency, and kinda disappointing.

Wonderful place to buy. I especially loved their stock of accessories & bags. The staff were friendly & helpful. I also appreciated the prices & sales! The CD arch to get to the door is a special bonus.

Every time I come here I always have an amazing experience. I have been coming here since 2016 with my dad since we find cool gems around there. My dad found a cool Michael Kors jacket for $20 and he still has it to this day in perfect condition😊 Megan and Joelle were so sweet and made my day great and all. 100000/10 🕺🤍✨💝
