Lehland Morris

Dark, sultry cocktail bar that lives up to its name—long and narrow with booths on one side, bar on the other . Cash only, great vibes, not pretentious. Solid cocktails (try the Word), decent beer selection, surprisingly good patty melt. Friendly service, relatively easy to get a seat even on weekends. A real neighborhood spot that feels like finding refuge after lackluster bars elsewhere .

It’s rare to see hospitality this good anywhere, and I didn’t expect it in such an innocuous bar. Not only were the drinks and vibes great here, but the bartender, when I accidentally gave him $50 instead of $30, waved me back and told me there were two $20s stuck together. Besides that, I asked for a Paloma and even though they don’t stock grapefruit, he made me a concoction that mimicked a Paloma perfectly. Great bartending and great people. 10s all round.

Dark, sultry cocktail bar—long and narrow with booths on one side, bar on the other . Cash only, great vibes, not pretentious . Solid cocktails (try the Word), decent beer selection, surprisingly good patty melt . Tuesday burger deal: $12 for patty melt, fries, beer . Friendly service, garden out back . A real neighborhood gem.

I really wanted to like this spot, but it was a massive disappointment. I ordered a white wine and a Moscow Mule, and honestly, both were nearly undrinkable...easily some of the worst drinks I’ve had in the city. To make matters worse, they were $15 each, which is way too much for that level of quality. It is also cash-only, which is a huge inconvenience if you aren't prepared. To top it off, I genuinely forgot to tip in the moment, and instead of a polite reminder, the bartender was incredibly rude and aggressive about it. I’m happy to tip for good service, but the attitude here was unnecessary. Save your cash and go elsewhere. Only saving grace is that the music was good.

The art deco, old style bar left us feeling sad with its cocktails, service and music. The Bees knees cocktail with gin was way too sour. Waited a long time to pay the bill. The bartender got the tip he deserved and he was not shy of showing his displeasure about it, was almost rude.

Low key fancy vibe, with a bar area that matches its name ... but out back there's plenty of room and they have a larger side room as well. Great staff but mediocre and pricey cocktail list. It's almost like they tried too hard. Still a fun spot and a good for a quieter weeknight date. The door is the one you think it is, but still aren't sure. Just push 🙂

Total Vibe-Killer – Terrible Brooklyn Hospitality what a miserable experience to have in Brooklyn. I brought my girlfriend here on a Wednesday night, expecting a chill local spot. Instead, we were met with some of the most unwelcoming service I’ve ever encountered. The bar was mostly empty, save for a few other people. You’d think the bartender would be happy for the business, but he looked absolutely miserable to be there. No greeting, no "What can I get you?"—just a cold, "mad at the world" energy. We ordered a round of cocktails, and even though the room was dead, he treated us like we were invisible. I watched him acknowledge other patrons, yet I had to practically beg for his attention just to get a second round. It was like he was going out of his way to ignore us. The real "twist" came at the end. When I asked for the check, he casually mentioned it was cash only. No signs, no heads-up when we sat down. In this day and age, a business that refuses to take credit cards feels incredibly shady—it’s giving me "off-the-books" vibes, like some sketchy massage parlor. Because we weren't warned, we had to scrape together every bill we had just to cover the tab. We left what we could for a tip, but it was all the cash we had on us. After being silent and dismissive all night, the bartender finally found his voice to count the money out loud in front of us and ask, "Is this it?" with a massive attitude. The audacity was unbelievable. To provide zero hospitality to a couple and then get passive-aggressive about a tip—after springing a "cash only" policy on us at the last second—is a joke. I’ve been here before and had a great time, which is why I wanted to show my girlfriend this spot for our first experience here together. But this left such a bitter taste in our mouths. It’s frustrating that there’s no manager contact info because this level of service is unacceptable. I won’t be spending another dollar here until they learn how to treat guests and get with the 21st century regarding payments. Do better.
