Astra Miami Rooftop

I recently worked with Kelly and Abby to arrange a happy hour for my networking group at Astra Rooftop. I met with them a few weeks prior for a tour of the beautiful venue and they also took me downstairs to see their soon to open steakhouse and speakeasy. The day of the event was rainy so Kelly texted me to not worry, they would be accommodating us in the covered dining area if the rain continued. I arrived early and was cheerfully greeted by Lemon, the hostess. She showed me to our tables but as the guests arrived, the rain stopped and we moved to several high-tops next to the bar where we had a fabulous view of the sunset and the beautiful Miami skyline. The bartenders were very attentuve and skilled, making some impressive drinks. We ordered several dishes including the Mediterranean Plate, Mini Burgers, Greek Mama's Meatballs and others all of which our guests thoroughly enjoyed. We had just over 20 people all of which said that they would return to take in the views and great service. I will be going back as well for a more intimate dinner and try some of the items from the menu, can't wait! And I am sure we will have another happy hour there as well. If you visit Miami, make sure you don’t leave without stopping by this spot in Wynwood. The place has a great vibe — perfect both for a full meal or just grabbing drinks. We tried a few Mediterranean dishes, the ceviche, and a mix of cocktails (margarita, gin & tonic, and a spicy margarita). Everything was really well done, and the ceviche was outstanding. The rest of the dishes and drinks were also solid. The staff were incredibly attentive — both the bartender and the other employees were truly 10/10. Thank you for the great service. Highly recommend!

Erwin was an AMAZING server!!! He was wonderful and very attentive. He even took group photos for us which was Awesome! The food was amazing and my Astra Moon cocktail was the best drink I’ve ever had! If I could give more than 5 stars about our experience, I would!!!

We hosted our 10 year high school reunion here and it was nothing short of amazing. We worked with Flavia the event manger; she made the process very smooth and easy to reserve the space. She made sure our event was a success and we had everything we needed. Matias our server was exceptional, he got everything right and was very attentive. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our class reunion was a success! Great atmosphere and an amazing spot to grab drinks plus enjoy the views!

I really wanted to love Astra for the views and Mediterranean menu, but the service was a disaster from start to finish. We started at the bar where we were passed between three different people and then effectively abandoned. No one ever checked on our food, and we were never offered a second drink. The worst part? We found used chewing gum inside our napkin roll. When we pointed it out, they took it away, never replaced it, and literally told us to go grab a napkin from another table ourselves. To make matters worse, the coed bathrooms were gross, strong urine smell as well as urine all over the seats. It’s an absolute joke that they have a bathroom attendant standing there expecting a tip. To top it off, they hide a 20% service charge on the digital payment screen. Since the "service" was non-existent, we didn't expect a forced tip, and because it wasn't clearly labeled, we ended up double-tipping on an already overpriced bill. The food is decent, but the staff's attitude and the shady billing make it a hard pass.

We had our yearly corporate party at Astra and we had a great experience, food and atmosphere were really nice. We initially used the Privee in the first floor and then moved to the rooftop, that day it was rainning a little bit and Abby was amazing, she had another closed area prepared of us in the rooftop as a plan B so overall was an excellent experience.

Very disappointing experience. The shrimp were completely burned and tasted bitter, making the dish inedible. Unfortunately, the rest of the food had no flavor at all and felt poorly prepared. On top of that, the service was terrible. The staff seemed uninterested and inattentive, and no one made an effort to fix the issues or even acknowledge them. Overall, not worth the money or the time. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
