Area 51

I’d give this place a solid 3.5 stars. The staff is always super nice and welcoming I’ve been there four times and they always make me laugh. The vibe is really fun. However, the security definitely needs improvement or at least more security, especially around the 18+. I’ve seen grown 30+ year old men staring at younger girls, which is uncomfortable and honestly weird. I’ve also seen some of the 18+ crowd come in already drunk and start shoving people. It would be nice to have better supervision to keep everyone safe. The music is okay I love the throwback songs but I wish they’d mix in more new or trending music. And more variety from Black artists beyond just Nicki Minaj and Drake would be great. Overall, I do enjoy this place, but it’s not somewhere I’d go to often.

Love Area! From karaoke to the dance floor, there’s something for everyone. Shout out to Loki, Hel, and Pyro for being the best bartenders in SLC!

Area-51 is the best and longest running danceclub in Salt Lake City with a wide range of Goth, Industrial, Alternative and top 40 music. The bartenders, DJs and management know how make everyone feel invited. It’s always a great experience!

I read reviews before coming here solo while road tripping. Funny how sometimes people's bad reviews make it clear it's exactly the sort of bar I want to go to. The music is loud enough to feel, but still shy of painful. DJ Mr. White (I think that was it) was killing it. I was able to come in and feel totally comfortable dancing by myself for hours. The bar tender was a sweetheart, and the gritty atmosphere was perfect. To the lovely person that feared the patio was falling apart because rats were eating it, thanks for the laugh. The only thing that sucks about this bar is that it's so damn far away from my house.

The environment, staff, guests, and drinks here are always fantastic. It has been my go-to spot for years. There's a top 40 dance area, a karaoke area, an alt/goth dancing area, two bars, three pool tables, and three outdoor balcony areas. There's always something for everyone, and I've never brought a group that didn't want to go back.

I think the overall vibe is fun but things to be improved is the music and I feel like more security because some people recently have been shoving people and not being cautious of there surroundings.

I love Area 51, it has the best atmosphere, music, and staff you'll ever find. Definitely one of the only places you can go and disconnect from the world!
