Red Dogs is hands down one of the best nightlife spots on the beach — it’s got that perfect mix of laid-back coastal vibes and all-out fun energy. Every time I walk through the door, I feel like I’m part of the family. Matt behind the bar is an absolute legend — friendly, fast, and somehow always remembers your drink order, even on the busiest nights. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does and takes pride in making sure everyone’s having a great time. Security guys Cee and AJ deserve a huge shoutout too. They manage the crowd with such professionalism and respect — keeping everyone safe while still keeping the atmosphere fun and welcoming. They’ve mastered that perfect balance of firm but friendly, and it really sets the tone for the whole place.

Red dogs is the best bar to go to in wrightsville beach. We go here every weekend and have always had a great time. All the staff is really nice and they always have great music!

Red Dogs is the place to be. I always feel safe there. The bouncers are great as well as the bartenders & DJ’s. I can’t think of a better night out than being at Red Dog’s.

If you are visiting the Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach area this place is THE place to go for a night out. The bar staff and bouncers are amazing and you can have a blast while feeling safe and not using your rent money for drinks!

Bouncers stole my money! Paid the cover to get access before it got busy and planned to come back later only to find out they weren't allowing reentires. I will not be back to Red Dogs or Jimmy's in the foreseeable future if this is how this establishment is ran!
