The Pleasure Emporium

I've seen some complaints in the reviews, so I figured I'd leave my review... I came in tonight to buy an article of clothing. The shop was small, it was clean, it was quiet, and the gentleman behind the counter was very polite when asked for assistance and not all in your face being pushy trying to make a sale ( something i think most of us appreciate).. ALSO THERE IS SOME AWESOME CANT FIND ANYWHERE ELSE ON ISLAND BUT HERE ITEMS FOUND AT THIS SHOP. So maybe its not the biggest , flashiest, most over the top shop there is, and even tho its not a 5 star ritz , it's also definitely not the one star cringe factory like the prior review made it out to be and for that reason and to serve justice to this wonderful little shop im giving it 5 stars.

I wouldn't recommend going. Place appears to be dead, the clerk is rude, etc. The store is rather small, but the main thing it has Is the Labrynth where they show a bunch of films in a dark lit maze where you can do all sorts of wild things. They even provide a place to store your stuff and free condoms. Love the idea, but it is so unfortunate that it's ruined by the lack of people, rude customer service and it should be noted it caters mainly to gay men. 90% of the films shown, that you have no control over are all for the gays. In desperate need of a touch up, but it really seems it's days are numbered.

That older gentleman behind the counter has a very unprofessional tone when he speaks to customers. Very sassy mean girl like. Got annoyed that I didn't know where to place card my card for tap. I was having a bad day and wanted a bottle of rush. For a such a quick in and out why do I have some elder queen talking to me like I'm stupid and inconveniencing them?

We went to experience the new "Laberinth", it was created from the theater room. From our experience, It would be a fun place to have adult fun, but it was too well lit and brightly lighted. The lights created the wrong mood for the environment they were trying to achieve. The person who checked us in and gave us the introduction to the "Lab" is not a good fit to represent the establishment. In my opinion, they should re-think the strategy and environment they are trying to achieve and do a make-over to retain customers and bring in new customers.

Unable to rate negative 5 stars (which is what this place deserves). The "guy" behind the counter is unbelievably rude and condescending. Don’t even think about wasting your time or money here. There are much better options available nearby. This place should be closed down due to its discriminatory stance against women & couples.

The person at the desk was condescending and outright rude. He would not accept an EU international vaccination electronic verification. He was unsure if it was my first or second vax, but rather than using the internet to verify or common sense, he chose to be rude and clearly superior.

Not Straight Couple Friendly 😞Didn’t realize this was only for Gay guys. So disappointing.. Theatre booths face each other which is totally lame. Private Booths are for Singles Only. I miss the White Palace that used to be on Keaumoku. Very pricey crop too. 60 bucks? Lol double the mainland price fo reals.
