Bookshelf

It's a very cute bookstore with a decent selection, including signed copies of local authors. Sadly, there is no public restroom. This is a huge inconvenience to customers, and doesn't help to keep people in the store for extended periods to search for and buy books and gift items. I had to leave and go to Kroger for a restroom, without making my purchases. I chose not to go back afterwards.

The staff is always so helpful and cheerful and knowledgeable. We love the size of the store and all of its wonderful books to choose from. Thanks so much, everyone.

This is a great, locally owned bookstore. Everyone is very friendly and interested in your personal reading journeys. It's always a pleasure to be a patron of this shop.

Such a sophisticated selection in an unfortunate location. I’ve driven past it literally hundreds of times without noticing it. Intelligently curated, geared towards well-read adults who prefer new books.

Such cottage and hobbit-hole vibes upon entering the brick archway to this shop. Quaintest little book nook ever. They always have what I’m looking for and the one or two times they didn’t have a book on my list they immediately offered to order for me and I had it in my hands within a few days. Also, the kindest and most literature saavy women work here. You say what you’re searching for and they immediately pull it off the shelf for you in seconds. And you definitely feel like a regular after visiting a few times, as these gals are great at remembering a familiar face. The ladies of The Bookshelf all remind me of Kathleen Kelly from the film You’ve Got Mail and the whole place has such Shop Around the Corner vibes. I love it! Such a wonderful spot. Perfect to find what you’re looking for or to just browse on a rainy afternoon. Please support this local, small business!

I was in need of a hostess gift for Friday and wasn't able to get to The Bookshelf until right before closing on Thursday. I was apologetic and assured the woman working there that I would be quick - and she immediately assured me it didn't matter. She then gave me suggestions, took the time to look for a particular book in another part of the store when it wasn't where she thought it would be, and then even gift-wrapped the book for me! What an awesome experience!
