Forbidden Fiction Bookshop

This place is so cute. The staff had some excellent suggestions (thanks Alexis!) and I'm excited to come back!

Really beautiful store, sort of a Gothic romance theme - black paint, ornate chairs, dark roses etc. All the classic romance genres each with their own section - mafia, monster, romantasy, sports, LGBT etc. They have a few classics of the genre in each section (Fourth Wing, Throne of Glass etc) and a few series or standalone books I have never heard of. Most are smutty but there are a few more tame books as well. As long as you like some form of romance you can find something to love. There's a parking lot connected to the store which is helpful.

I visited for a friend's signing event and was absolutely charmed by this venue. The staff are so warm and welcoming. I loved the vibes and aesthetics of the shop and the wide variety of romance books. The coffee bar was great and the banana foster's latte was delicious. Wish I had a bookstore like this were I live.

Love this bookstore!! Have been twice in the month they've been open and its my new go to place! If you like smut and dark romance you have to check this place out there's such a good selection including books I can't find in store other places. Besides the books they have some cute smut themed accessories like stickers, socks, and Keychains. Plus the owner and workers are so welcoming and enjoyable to talk to whenever were in there. Overall a 100/10!!

Amazing dark romance selection and good book recommendations from the owner

I stumbled across this book store when driving through Oceanside and was extremely impressed! The selection is smaller, but sticks true to the theme and has a wide selection for a smaller bookstore. The owner was fantastic and I was able to find a new to author that is local to the area. A must stop spot for those in the area!
