Third Coast Volleyball Club

I was born and raised in Houston and never knew this spot was here! This is a great spot for a good beach volleyball workout. The deep sand is perfect! I also enjoyed all the televisions with comfortable couch seating as well as table seating. It would be nice if there were some bleachers. The drinks are pretty good. Haven't tried the food yet, but I highly recommend this great sand volleyball bar.

I'm pretty sure everyone who plays sand volleyball in Houston knows what Third Court is. There is a parking lot, but most people end up just parking on the street past the courts due to overcrowding. $10 open play Friday nights (supposedly, first timers come in free, but I wasn't offered that - though I heard some other guys came in later on that did). There is a bar and a grill inside, with a very spacious covered area with different types of seating. 12 courts total. Middle two are men's doubles and women's doubles and the outside courts are meant for 4s. I wouldn't really recommend coming without a group and even if you have a group, you'll be waiting a while between games. It's pretty wild West in terms of who is next, pretty much have to walk up to a group and ask to play winner or if they have space. The skill level is very wide, but generally above average. If you have a designated group, it's more efficient to go reserve because you'll be waiting for open play courts. I think I got three games in for fours within two hours.

Right in the middle of the Gandhi/Harwin district is this great volleyball pit ice house hangout. There's 12 nice volleyball pits, a Tiki bar area, and an air conditioned ice house area. Lots of room to lounge and socialize. A true oasis in the middle of a really hectic part of town.

I love coming here to play! The courts are always well-maintained, the sand is clean, and the atmosphere is super fun and welcoming. It’s a great spot whether you’re just playing for fun or getting a little competitive. The staff is great and super friendly, and it’s easy to get a good game going. Definitely one of my favorite places to spend time with friends and stay active!

This place and especially the staff , discriminates against your color and gender. "Privileged players" play nonstop amount of games even if you put your self on the list, They never call, invite to play next and you waiting for hours like they are making their own rules. unpleasant experience and disappointment in the people who goes play there

The best sand volleyball facility in Texas. The sand is deep, all ages can play, and everyone is friendly. If the grill is open; come hungry. The food is amazing. They also have a bar if you want a snack, coffee, or a drink. They have seating areas to watch volleyball or tv. They also have a giant 10' tv!

We love this place. It feels like a tropical paradise in the city. The staff is nice and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. Our daughter plays with the Juniors and really enjoys it. Bathrooms are always nice and clean too!
