South Beach

South Beach is a great club for a weekend out. However, my one gripe with this club is the fact that they charge for international DJs and RuPaul Girls for around $25 when they don’t even go on until well after midnight. It would make more sense for them to make it $15 before 10 p.m. for drag race girls and free before 10 p.m. for international DJs. Otherwise, it’s the perfect place for a night out with the girls and the gays. My other issue, which is a minor one, is the fact that straight people come here, and no one bats an eye because it brings the club money. I get that it’s kinda hard to differentiate who is queer and who isn’t, but it kinda feels like this place will become a straight club in no time.

This place has great energy for Dancing and meeting new people, lots of fun. Only cons were the drunk, gay men punching past me to use the woman’s restroom and being very loud about it. And it took a long time to get drinks, although the place was packed so an acceptable trade off. If you like a bodies to bodies dance floor and feeling like you’re in a 2010s music video this might just be the spot.

I’ve been coming to this bar for many years and normally have good experiences. However, last night we had an uncomfortable situation. We gave a $100 bill to a new female bartender, and she said the bill was fake because it was printed in 2006. This morning I went to the bank to verify it, and it was confirmed to be a real bill. I believe the bar should consider having a bill scanner or better training, especially for new staff, to avoid misunderstandings like this. We didn’t want to waste time or argue with her, as she was new. It’s also unfortunate that the two bartenders who have served me here for over six years are no longer working here. They were always professional and knew their customers well. I hope management can improve this going forward. Still giving 5 stars, as this is my favorite entertainment spot.

The only downside for me is that all the music has the same beat and speed. A little variation would be great. That said, I understand the reasoning behind it. So if you like a consistent, chest thumping beat, you'll love it.

Great night club! Free entry. Drinks were fair price. Bought 2 Vodka sodas for about $10.00 each and a bottle of water for about $4.00. The whole place is large and spacious. It is very clean. There are lasers and lights that go along with the music to make the scenery more live! Bartenders were very kind and helpful. The music was mostly house/electronic with some classic remixes. Dance floor was a bit empty initially, but definitely starts to get packed around 11:30 to 12:00. Will likely come here again in the future! Parking outside is relatively easy for a $10 fee. Along with the parking, we were also given a coupon for a free drink at a nearby bar that I redeemed prior to entering.

Waited over 20 minutes before being acknowledged by the bartender. When he finally took our order, he charged us right away and handed the receipt, expecting us to tip before even being served. Since I paid with a credit card, I decided to leave a cash tip after service. However, when he saw the $0 tip on the credit card slip, he chose not to serve us. After waiting for another 20 minutes and watching the bartender serve the people after us. I had to ask another bartender to make the drinks I had already paid for, and I tipped him generously. Very unprofessional and disappointing service.
