Orchard Beach Park

Clean NYC beach. It’s not too big, nor wide. People are awesome. It’s so much nicer than what it was 15 years ago. But bathrooms are limited/ none by picnic tables. The place could use more picnic tables and portable toilets in that space.

I love going to Orchard beach on sunny days during the off season when there are less people and less noise. The lanternflies are annoying this year because they jump on you while you're trying to relax on the sand. I hope they disappear soon. Otherwise, this is a good place to go for a walk or a run or to just relax. Sometimes there are seals sunning on the rocks about a half a mile out in the distant waters.

Always a good time so far at events. The people just come to vibe eat drink and have fun. Music everywhere the. Bathroom could be more cleaner and upkept with more tissue on deck. The bathroom helper was nice and useful in ensuring things ran smoothly. The food line also moves fast at times but can be long.

The parks department Security are very rude and harass everyone. They don’t let you walk near the water to the end. I tell him you are harassing me. He says I’m going to call my supervisor. The female drove her jeep and was near my head while I was asleep. I woke up and told her why are you driving so close and she just looked at me like she enjoyed what she was doing. Her jeep number is 4353. She was looking for trouble like she wanted to give me a ticket. I have one thing to to say to these parks department workers. First you serve the public. Second you don’t know who you are talking to. And third if you don’t like to be nice which is a requirement of your job you shouldn’t get paid but get fired.

Absolutely ZERO internet service, can't go online,email,nothing except text and make a phone call. This never happened before and is probably a result of the construction and housing of immigrants there. Bring downloaded music...Go for the sun and relaxation, when over heated go to the boardwalk and get under the manually operated water sprinklers...the beach water is too high in fecal contamination here and everywhere else.

Very dirty and ill kept beach and the people here are really no better.

Summer league playoff games, good competition. Red bull donated drinks.
