Belle Isle Beach

1. SHARP EDGED GLASS PIECES IN SAND. We ran into so many sharp edged pieces of glass and some plastic pieces - all that can easily cause a cut. If you have kids who like to run or dig in sand, this not the beach I would recommend. Its a great beach for adults to just sit in one place and enjoy the place and view. 2. There were so many tiny little almost transparent looking FISHES all the way till the edge of the waters, in shallowest waters! Harmless. But if you are someone like me who finds it uncomfortable to step in/stand in water along w fishes, then just a little heads up. My 6 yr old stood in there (waiting for fishes to come & clean his feet hahaha) but couldn't feel a thing! So its safe for sure. 3. Parking lot & restrooms are really close to the beach.

A beautiful view of the skyline can be seen from here. I made my friends stop so I could look for glass. (I didn’t find much, as we only saw a small area and it’s summer.) It was a beautiful day and people were having a wonderful time swimming and kayaking. It’s a short distance from the lot to the water which is an advantage, too.

I loved the look and atmosphere, but there was glass in the sand and water...and the bathrooms were just ghastly plus the spiders done it for me, I have Arachnophobia and the side of the spiders were nightmare fuel...
