LaPosada is a very nice, comfortable property in a good location. My room was comfortable and had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. A couple of bottles of water. A tasty cookie. Very nice touches. The bathroom was a little small but adequate. The pool/spa area is very nice. I enjoyed my 3 night stay. The only thing that I really found needing upgrade is the breakfast. It really doesn't come close to what the other chain hotels offer. Other than that, I would recommend certainly LaPosada.
We checked in for 3 days, we get to our room, no trash cans, no TV remote, no light bulbs in bed light, I went to desk got light bulbs and they put them in your hand so you can do it yourself, you remind them for the 3rd time you have no trash cans, after you've been checked in for 3 hrs? No shampoo, no soap. Now here we go day 2 still no trash cans. However we got a TV remote after a hr. They offered to move us to another room after we unloaded all our stuff. I said why don't you just go down to the other room and bring back the trash cans and remote, they looked at me dumb founded. What do you expect for hard earned money? You can tell it's under new management, been staying here for years on and off never had a problem untill now. Would not recommend staying here. As for me and my company we won't be back
I think i finally found the place I want to go on a regular basis. Very competitive price, but nothing like the cookie cutter hotel rooms from most big chains. There was a lot of very attractive and charming details in the rooms, and the property itself, that made this feel a lot more like a home. Also, breakfast was real food, with lots of selection, and a GORGEOUS view! The on-site restaurant was so characteristic of the southwest style, and looked out over the city, with a best view of the sunrise. 10/10 would recommend!
The room we had was spacious, clean, and came with a balcony. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony and taking in the view of the garden and distant hills. Overall, the hotel appeared well-maintained. We enjoyed the jacuzi onsite but didn't go into the pool since the weather was a bit chilly. They offered hearty complimentary hot breakfast starting at 6:30, which was greatly appreciated by early risers.
I wanted to love La Posada but couldn't quite give it five stars. The property is old school Tuscon which we loved. The rooms definitely need some updating. The paint was peeling and chipping. The television was a struggle to change channels. With that being said, the mattresses were comfortable and the patio was wonderful to sit and have morning coffee along with watching the monsoon rains over Mount Lemmon during the day and at night. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time we were there so we were not able to take advantage of the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was good and hearty. I expected a better breakfast since we were charged a resort fee that included breakfast. Most hotels offer the type of breakfast that we had and without the resort fee cost. I probably won't stay here again since there are other options with similar cost. I will say if you want an opportunity to stay in an old hotel that gives you the feel of old Tucson, I would certainly stay for one visit. Also, the front desk staff were helpful.
Pretty bad experience here. Stared with a rude front desk person who was obviously in no mood to answer any questions when we called in to confirm our reservation a few hours before arrival. Then the $18 resort fee that was never disclosed at booking but revealed at check-in. Surprise! Then the restaurant. We read the full menu online and we're excited about eating there, but they had some problems and could only offer 4 menu items which were not what we wanted. What the food we did order came out it was not hot and the order was incorrect, the salt in the wound was the price which was just too high for the quality. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating however. Then the tiny room (#110)! An old TV and a toilet that would not stop running, the fan with bent blades that looked like they were going to snap off, a disconnect sink faucet. Oh, and when we got to our room the key didn't work so had to go back to the front desk again. The pool and hot tub heater was broken so no soaking for us either. Truly dissatisfied and disappointed. In general the place looks good from the outside.
The hotel is very pretty! The views are wonderful! The gym however was a bit small and underwhelming. The breakfast was really good and the lady was on top of it she kept bringing out endless food. The restaurant is nice. Overall I would recommend this establishment would definitely come again !
