Cedar Lake Point Beach

Great spot tucked away among trees and beach. Can get really crowded on nice days so expect other groups sitting a few feet from you and probably their music playing, occasional wofts of weed, or cookouts.

I think people are at this beach because they can’t figure out how to park at Hidden Beach across the lake. You can even spot people swimming all the way over there from this beach, (they’re the ones being chased by buoys). Nice, sandy beach that drops off pretty quickly but parking is a ways off. Shaded in the afternoons. It’s on the west side of Cedar so the late afternoon is the best time to go.

Cedar Lake Point Beach ⛱️ Minneapolis is a nice beach to relax and enjoy in summertime. Parking is first come, first serve. It's a bit of a walk to get to the beach after you find a place to park. It feels like you are far from the city once you reach your destination. Beautiful place to visit. Light rail 🚈 is currently being constructed there. -Troy Stewart Timmers Family

This lake has places with many paths for biking, walking, small beaches with people or very quiet and a little hidden where you can spend a good time watching the ducks, listening to the birds, or reading a good book and of course a beautiful view of the sunset.

Very nice location for a run! Very well cared for. Trails have some roots to watch out for but In overall great condition. There are separate paths for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Always a good time at Cedar Lake Point Beach. I swam with my dogs at a more discrete location than the main beach. It was absolutely beautiful, not too many bugs, not too many people, plenty of sexy eye candy, mmmhmmm very very fun. Spent all day there, still didn't want to leave, but everybody gets hungry eventually. Go to this beach! You will love it!

I just love this point beach....it's perfect early in the morning when all the wildlife is out and the swimmers are practicing going between hidden beach and east beach. Its the first beach to get the summer in the morning too. The picture I posted is actually takes from the parkway and looking from the East side. I think it has the best swimming as the water is never really stagnant here. Perfect beach too for pulling up your kayak or canoe.
