This beach was the perfect place to experience a New Year’s morning and afternoon. There was plenty of space and a lot less crowded than Waikiki Beach. There are restaurants and shops nearby. We got amazing tans Thanks to the cloudless sky and beaming sun!
This is a great beach in the hwart of Wikiki area. It has a good amount of sandy beach and offers a variety of entertainment, bars, food and drink plus has room for surfing, swiming and so on. There are multiple bar areas around the beach that have seats available with good drink options. There is a good amount of area for you to set up volleyball courts, badminton and so on. There is also a fireworks show every Friday which is great to watch. The downside is that the beach is usually super crowded.
Such a beautiful beach ! Just in the front of our condo, went there everyday to have early time, swimming and relax before starting the day, just wow ! A lot of restaurant and stores and everything you want near this beach, very central ! Highly recommend spot !
I walked this entire beach. It has 1" of loose sand and underneath is so hard, nobody can use an umbrella as its to hard to put the pole in the ground. Recommend tent style with sand weight style. Have fun holding onto the pole. If you try to walk into water. Its all coral and hard rocks so it kills your feet. Impossible to run into water. You have to watch people suffer out. Lol. Some places have sand out about 2'. Its just enough to get deep enough to float as the ground will be to rough to walk. It all looks beautiful but deceiving. Most of the positive posts are from local condo owners trying to rent this over populated and priced area.
Crowded but not as much as some beaches. It's a safe place to swim. It's in a protected cove, so there are no real waves. The water is also pretty shallow, although it does get over head depth. Drawbacks are that the water is not that clear. It's slightly murky. Also the bottom has a lot of rocks. Not too many big ones, but smaller rocks, not pebbles. It can make walking in and out of the water slightly painful.
This beach is great until you walk out into the water-there area tons of rocks/coral that are painful to walk on. Bring water shoes and you will be fine. Rent an umbrella for $45 for shade. There is a great small lagoon with very shallow water-great for small kids. Food very close by.
Nice beach, not as busy as the rest.
