Diamond Head Lighthouse

Ran by the Diamond Head Lighthouse early morning and was still dark. Tried to still get a good shot. I wish I was able to see the view during the day.

You don't need tickets for this, and it's private property. You can get a good view from the top of Diamond Head State Monument and a close view nearby, but you can't go in, and no ticket is needed.

Can only see the lighthouse from the road. This is a private residence for military command and you are not allowed on site.

While it is viewable from Diamond Head Mountain, it is a bit out of the way to visit. Looks well maintained and stands out among the sea

Breathtaking scenic views of the ocean, breaking surf, and, of course, the towering majestic lighthouse, a beacon of light throughout the dark night. Please check out the stunning images of the lighthouse at dawn. The strong, flashing beams of light, burst out across the Diamond Head coastline.

Like a lioness, it’s best to view this lighthouse from afar. Also, it’s not a public lighthouse so best not to be trespassing on US government land. You certainly don’t want to end up in jail on your vacation, unless you’re into seeing jails across the world, then have at it! Plenty of viewing points to see the lighthouse though so no need to do anything dangerous.

So much history! Just as the sign states the Coast Guard Commander for the 14th district resides here. So it's very much maintained and looked after, but not accessible to the public. You can still see its beauty while walking along diamond head park trails as well as the trails along the beach. Thank you for allowing us in and to experience such a historic landmark for both Oahu and the Coast Guard. Can't wait to see it in the evening (we were told it's still functional and lights up at night!)
