O.Henry Hotel

We had a Private, Intimate Wedding there last week and from start to finish, our wedding experience was absolutely AMAZING!! I naturally have high expectations, and every single detail exceeded them. The decorations and overall setup were absolutely perfect. Every detail we discussed was executed beautifully and with care. The event staff was kind, professional, and incredibly welcoming to all of our guests, which meant so much to us. Now let’s talk about the food — the short ribs were unforgettable! Guests are still talking about how delicious they were and how much they enjoyed every bite. When I walked into my room (The Magi Suite), I was completely speechless. It was stunning. I was also surprised with chocolate-covered strawberries, which were absolutely delicious and such a thoughtful touch. Every part of the day felt intentional and special. I want to personally thank Audrey Wheeler, Dara Pettet, and Anissa Benton for helping bring my dream of a private, intimate wedding to life. Your professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail did not go unnoticed. From the bottom of my heart — and my new husband’s heart — thank you for making our day absolutely perfect. If you are considering hosting an event here, I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

The O'Henry is a quaint hotel with friendly, down-home staff. While the room we were in seemed, a bit dated the bathroom had a major functional and attractive update. The food and beverages for afternoon tea were fresh and service was good. The on site restaurant food was above average with great service. The best part of our stay was the staff at the O'Henry. We felt like we were talking with some of our relatives we hadn't seen in a while. For a historic atmosphere and friendly service, choose the O'Henry.

My son is getting married on March 21st so we were going to have dinner there with the wedding party and we booked them the honeymoon suite for more than 500.00 a night. We were then informed that because they are 20 years old they would have to have us spend the night with them!!!!!!! REALLY, on their honeymoon they want me to stay in the room with my son!!!!! I told them that they could take my id at check in and I would leave whatever deposit they want and if need be I would be there at check out and they could check the room while I was there. The answer was no. The General Manager would not even give me the courtesy to speak to me directly I'm sure there are plenty of other hotels that will be more than happy to take the thousands of dollars we will be spending not to mention the business they will lose from us telling all our neighbors and friends up in Oak Ridge NC. REALLY POOR MANAGEMENT HERE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT!! Plenty of better hotels out there, don't waste your time or money here, THEY DON'T WANT IT

Excellent service although sometimes multiple phone calls were needed to reach someone. Rooms need some updating but bathroom areas are quite nice. Overall, a classy hotel and definitely the best choice in Greensboro.

A quick thank you to Cassandra, and the whole staff at the O’Henry hotel. We knew we would have a great experience for our one night stay, but it was even better than expected. During check-in we noticed there had been a water leak, and staff offered us a hotel room at the Proximity which we declined, life happens. We have always enjoyed the three restaurants associated with the Quaintance-Weaver group, I knew our one night stay was gonna be just as amazing. In fact, Dennis Quaintance was directing cleanup procedures during our check-in process and took time to speak to us. Cassandra was very gracious and upgraded our room to one of the most amazing hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in, this was kind of a anniversary weekend for my wife and I so the upgrade made it even more special. We already booked for the Valentine’s Day weekend we enjoyed our stay so much. And of course, our two meals at GVG were some of the best you can find in Greensboro.

Today we had a lovely time The O'Henry Hotel's Afternoon Tea! Our swing dance group has enjoyed meeting annually for tea there for fourteen years. In particular, the last four years have gone so smoothly! Landon is wonderful to work with, and he makes sure that we are taken care of beautifully. He and his excellent team provide outstanding service, and we are so grateful that we can enjoy connecting and catching up over tea in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere every year. Thank you for accommodating us so seamlessly which allows us to focus on having a wonderful time together! We'll be back next year!
