Lake Mayer Park

I absolutely loved Lake Mayer Community Park. The large lake surrounds the park, with a long walking trail all the way around it, and there is plenty of parking available. The park offers many facilities, including pickleball and tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, a skateboard area, a remote control car track, and a great playground for kids. They also offer affordable classes like yoga and Zumba. You can kayak or paddleboard on the lake, go fishing, or simply relax and enjoy the many birds, ducks, and geese. The best part is that the lake has no alligators. It’s free, peaceful, perfect for picnics, and ideal for spending time with the whole family. Highly recommended. 🌿🦆

Well kept. No riff raff unless youre an old bitty that has a problem with the awesome skateboard park! Also a roller hockey rink and a RC track that has multiple races from around the southeast. Campers welcome during this time! Awesome bike and running track. Safe and connects to the inner city bike trail. Great addition to this town

2025-08: Stopped in at this little park one night before a road trip a couple of hours away. The parking lot is well lit at night and it was great to have clean, cold water to refill our water bottles and cool down on an extremely hot and humid night. The lake was serene and the very short length of trail we walked was nicely kept up. I'd love to see this place in the day time. Downside: no dogs allowed near or on the track/path. ADA: Service Animals are, of course, allowed.

The park is clean, the paths are well-lit, and there are always engaging activities happening. Whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or just looking for a pleasant place to unwind, Lake Mayer Park in Savannah is a must-visit. A five-star experience in the heart of our city!

This park was sooooooo beautiful. It's like they put a park in the middle of a lake. Very relaxing and great location in Savanah.

This was our first time visiting Lake Mayer playground. My granddaughters loved it with all the different slides and lots of kids to play with there. One thing alarmed me though. That was how much rust and peeled back metal with sharp edges there were on the steps,and platforms above the slides. I'd be surprised if multiple children haven't been seriously hurt already.
