Oak Street Beach

Oak Street Beach in West Haven is a beautiful and peaceful spot to relax by the water. The beach is clean, well-maintained, and has a nice fishing pier that looks amazing in the evening lights. It’s a great place to take a walk, enjoy the sunset, or spend time with family. The area also has picnic tables and easy access to the boardwalk, making it very family-friendly. The only downside is the parking fee, especially for non-residents. Premium Parking charges $5.82 per hour, which can add up quickly if you plan to stay the whole day. Overall, it’s a wonderful beach with great views, but I wish the parking rates were more reasonable for visitors. Giving it 4 stars for the experience!

This park is Great location for walks with friends family or pets. Plenty of peace and serenity here! with lovely beaches on the outskirts with a touch of nature and well kept landscaping.. it has a interesting nice boardwalk that can take your feet just a moving towards a nice pier, park beach or parking lots and a place to eat. I'll tell you this park has Lovely days with a cool scenic night and if your lucky some great music too. The big plus is there's Great people in the park that know how to keep it feeling friendly and good with that good ol west haven charm. Honestly it gets no better. Thanks in advance for your time. Oak street beach is a beautiful and serene place. On a day when I was feeling a bit low, I decided to take a walk to there. Witnessing the calming waters and the mesmerizing sunrise had an instant uplifting effect on my mood. It's a tranquil spot that has the power to make anyone feel better. Happy beaching!

I had a great time with my youngest daughter, my niece, & my sister with my nephews. We arrived at around 9 in the morning. The sun was shining and the rays were strong. There was a breeze coming off the ocean which felt good considering it was 81 degrees already, but the children thought it was cold. There were no more than 5 people on the beach. The children did get their feet, knees and eventually their whole body wet. We brought our coolers with food and beverages to stay nourished and hydrated. We walked on the rocks, took a couple of photos and walked the paved sidewalk from end to end. We left around 3 pm and the beach still wasn't crowded. All in all it was a great day with family. We are planning to go back soon.

Not a bad beach at all, beware some parts are extremely Shelly and you might cut yourself. Spikeball was a lot of fun and the water was not freezing when we visited. Would recommend for younger families the waves 🌊 were tame and not crazy.

Beautiful beach with walkways to make you feel like you are standing in the middle of the ocean, lots of trees if you are seeking some shade you could lay back and read a book or if you just want to take a long walk and take in the view, it is pet friendly so the whole family will enjoy the day.

Scenic. If you're not from West Haven; don't know about the...let's say Clientele...this is a beautiful beach. There's a long stretch of boardwalk where you can jog from the nature preserve to Bradley Point. If you want; run all the way to Woodmont Beach in Milford.
