Terramar Point

Beautiful views! A great stop to walk the shoreline and take in the scenery. 9/10

Terramar Point is a coastal area in Carlsbad, California, known for its surf break, a residential community, and a vacation rental property called Terramar Point. It is a popular surf spot, particularly for locals, and is located south of the Carlsbad Power plant and north of Palomar Airport Road.

Great area for surfing, beach access is a little "hidden" but right off Cerezo drive (stairs down to it). There is mesh fencing up along the pathway for much of it on the upper street level. Hike down to the beach area (rocky here) to watch waves and surfers. Street parking first come, first serve. Pics taking around 6:15am on a Sunday.

I went during low tide, but it still wasn't low enough. This is a tiny strip of beach that is limited accessible. Forget walking along the beach here! Great for surfing I couldn't walk along cliffs, got waves up to hip level. I suggest going to beaches south of La Costa, Encinitas & Solana Beach, if you enjoy long beach walks on sand along cliffs. Limited street parking here

My son is obsessed with marine life. And loves tide pools. We went early in the morning, around 7am and saw a bunch of sea hairs, a brittle star (which he was super excited about) and what we think was a wavy turbine Great place at low tide

We love coming to this lookout to catch the sunset. You can head down the somewhat hidden set of stairs down to access a small beach below the bluffs. Great sunsets, people watching, and lots of surfers. Some parking is available on either side of the road up top. Not a ton, but we’ve always been able to find a spot. Little slice of heaven!
