South Shore Beach

The water is not clean is not the best, yes the lifeguards are super amazing, but realize that there are geese here leaving and it truly smells like geese poop in the water, and is really dumb that people even fish around close by this shore where the water is growing algae. Not clean water is just perfect for the animals

Only came to the place because the Fork river picnic area was closed due to a fire. The water was nice but the lifeguards are WAYYY too involved. You get yelled at for every little thing. I was getting a hard time about the floating device my 3 year old was wearing. It was nice enough but the fun was squeezed out of this place by the overbearing lifeguards...

It has sand and water so I can't give zero stars but literally the worst beach experience ever. The lifeguards are power hungry kids that take away the joy of a beach day. And definitely not worth the $12 entrance. Will never come back and if you want a good time I recommend you look elsewhere. (Not to mention literal poop in the sand all over...)

No floating equipment is allowed. The life guards are so catious that it is even hard to get drown here. I swear! The birds poo everyday next to the water it needs to be pick up all the time.

So dirty!!! The dirtiest place I ever saw! And the life guards were so sensitive, it is not good for swimming, it’s basically just a dirty pond.

It's a really nice place, don't really understand all the complaints of this place.
