Great spot for cooking, fishing, bringing friends, kids and family. All around great park. Good playground for kids, beautiful wild life, nice shady areas. This park is huge with enough open areas to fish without being in the way of others fishing. If you have an energetic toddler, it is a great place to let them run around and tire themselves out. Great place for making memories and spending time with the people you love.
I joined the Japanese Festival at Steele Indian School Park as a food vendor and had a wonderful experience. The park is beautiful, clean, and very spacious, which makes it perfect for large cultural events. There were a lot of people enjoying the festival, great performances, and a fun atmosphere. Everything was well organized for vendors and visitors. I would be happy to participate in another event here again!
The 2026 Arizona Matsuri Festival of Japan brought amazing musical talent. This was my family's first time coming to the festival, and we will most definitely be back. The magic of the drums was well worth the bit of heat. 🔥❤️🇯🇵
Great park, lots to do. They have 2 dog parks, playground, a lake, plenty of grassy areas and picnic benches. We had a celebration of life for my bf and it was perfect. We released balloons for him and a few people spoke about him and his life.
I’m new to Phoenix and I have been to a few parks, but this park might be the best I’ve seen. It’s stunning and really big. Great for riding bikes and skates or just going for a walk.
Big beautiful park. Grassy, water features, excellent walking sidewalk that goes all over the place, and some people fish there. Lots of waterfowl to look at, etc. I can get lost in there and do two miles just walking around and around with my dog. That's great because when she's tired - she has tiny little legs - we're not very far from the car. Photo of well worn out dog after a long walk around the park.
I love this park. It's HUGE tons of grass and trees there's a lake that you can fish at. There's a cool multi level spiral that has a path and benches you can watch the prairie dogs and birds. There's a tall hill you can go to the top and get a view of the whole park. Multiple parking lots and trails around and through the whole park great for jogging and bike riding. Sand playgrounds. Clean and well maintained.
