Nice location. Upstairs bar is nice. Event food, not so good.

Generally a members only club but I was invited by a member to an event; super friendly community, great views from the bar!

WOW - this is a yacht club with a huge heart and many angels. They have hosted a wheelchair regatta for over sixty years. Boat owners from other yacht clubs offer support, members and their friends, the marines, and so many other volunteers come together to put on one of the most beautiful events you'll ever witness. Special invites go out throughout the community to host folks with disabilities - many in wheelchairs - to experience a special boat ride on the bay. They get to meet hundreds of angels that work hard to put this event on and they get to make some new friends. You get to witness our brave strong Marines hoisting and assisting folks in wheelchairs on and off the yachts. Some volunteers traveled across the country to help because they find it really rewarding. They also had some amazing entertainers, magicians and musicians and even fed the guests lunch. It was amazing -A BIG THANK YOU from all of those who were blessed to be invited to participate. This event proves that Silver Gate goes above and beyond to share their love and bring some much needed joy to others. Maybe that song "Your simply the best" would apply. Much love to all of you.

I just had a wonderful dinner engagement for work at this club; the service was great and the food was outstanding. Everyone of my colleagues and Customers felt that the ambiance, food and service was top notch. The club has a wonderful view of the inside bay of Shelter Island, and another out towards the harbor. The setting is casual and the members were very welcoming to my guests. It was a wonderful experience. For the food we got, the price was excellent. This is a great place to go, especially for an event. You do have to have a sponsor if you are not a member, but the front office works that out for you. No reasonable event gets turned done. Ask for Celeste or Jill; they will work you through the process.
